ANTIMICROBIAL COMBINATIONS SYSTEM AND METHOD
An antimicrobial composition includes an organic extract, such as a witch hazel extract, and a colloid selected from metal, halogen, and combinations of these, such as a silver colloid. The witch hazel extract includes tannins in excess of about 10 mg/ml, such as hamamelitannin, and the colloid includes about 10,000 PPM of metal, such as silver. The antimicrobial composition may be applied to or instilled through an indwelling urinary catheter or other medical device.

Functionalized fullerene metal nanocomposites
A fullerene-metal nanocomposite is described that comprises a metal nanoparticle bonded to a functionalized fullerene compound. A useful method of making a fullerene-metal nanocomposite is also described. The method consists essentially of the steps of mixing a solution of metal salt or metal ion with a functionalized fullerene compound, and purifying the fullerene-metal nanocomposite from the solution. Also described are antimicrobial surfaces, comprising a substrate surface and a coating on the substrate surface comprising a fullerene-metal nanocomposite that includes a metal nanoparticle bonded to a functionalized fullerene compound.
ANTIMICROBIAL METALLIZED THIN FILMS FOR REFURBISHING COMMUNAL CONTACT SURFACES
An antimicrobial metallized thin film is provided that can be quickly and easily attached to surfaces of objects. This film includes a polymer substrate onto which a metallized layer is formed. The metallized layer comprises an exposed antimicrobial metal physical contact surface. Ions from this physical contact surface destroy the viral coating and ribonucleic acid of contacting viruses rendering the viruses inactive and noninfectious. The film can be attached via an adhesive layer disposed between and in contact with the polymer substrate and the communal surface. This arrangement allows the film to economically refurbish communal surfaces with a film overlay rather than completely replacing communal surfaces with antimicrobial materials. The film mitigates the likelihood of viruses such as coronaviruses, noroviruses, rhinoviruses, and the like from spreading due to contact with the refurbished communal surfaces.

A handle for a cabinet, has a translucent rod with a photocatalytic antimicrobial TiO2 external coating, and a pair of supports each engaging an end of the rod and being affixed to a cabinet door. One support has an array of two LEDs for emission of light into the rod, one LED emitting blue light and the other emitting white light. There is total internal reflection within the rod, for very effective incidence on the coating.

DEODORIZING GLOVE HOLDER FOR ATHLETIC GLOVES AND OTHER EQUIPMENT
A deodorizer for insertion into athletic and other equipment, having an outer housing that is infused with an antimicrobial agent and that has ventilation holes, and containing a moisture absorbing deodorizer within the outer housing. The deodorizer absorbs moisture that allows bacteria to grow and the antimicrobial infused outer housing kills existing bacteria, thereby reducing bacteria and odor.
