N-halamine composition for the prevention and elimination of odors

Articles can be provided with odor resistance by applying a dispersion of a halogenated heterocyclic N-halamine in an inert liquid carrier onto the surface of the article and allowing the inert liquid carrier to penetrate into it. The N-halamine accordingly becomes deposited on the surface of the article after the inert liquid carrier penetrates into the article. This method can be used to provide odor resistance to a variety of substrates, including garbage bags. It can also be used to deposit other functional particulates onto the surface of substrates having sufficient porosity to take up the vehicle. For instance, such functional particles can be oxidants that display antimicrobial and/or enzyme inhibitory efficacy or particles having toxin interaction potentials through oxidative degradation or adsorption of toxic substances in air and/or water, such as fluoride uptake by metal oxide microparticles.

DISPENSER AND METHOD OF USE THEREOF

A system for consistently emitting a volatile material, the system including a dispenser having at least one aperture, a substrate adapted to fit within the dispenser, and a volatile material. The substrate includes a first woven layer having a first pore size, a second woven layer having a second pore size, and a third, non-woven layer that extends between the first woven layer and the second woven layer. Further, the system has a steady state weight loss of the volatile material over a time greater than 30 days.

Emanator for vapor of a volatile fluid
11033652 · 2021-06-15 ·

An automatic dispensing device for volatile fluid operable to apply one or more agent to a local environment for more than 14 days. A dispensing device may nonexclusively operate by evaporation of volatile fluid from a carrier material that is somehow infused with the volatile fluid; gravity-induced drip from a bulk supply of volatile fluid through a small orifice onto an emanator; osmotic transfer of volatile fluid through the emanator from a bulk supply; gas-pump drive of volatile fluid to the emanator at controlled pressure or volume; or diffusion of volatile fluid through a wall of a container of bulk volatile fluid; and combinations thereof.

SOLID AIR FRESHENER

The present invention relates to a solid pressed air freshener and odor neutralizer composition which can include greater than 10% fragrance. The air freshener comprises a fragrance; preferably the fragrance is impregnated within a water soluble substrate made from a foamed vegetable starch, a surfactant and a solidifier. The solid formulations break down easily in the presence of water and may be sprayed, within the area to be freshened.

DEVICE FOR DIFFUSING VOLATILE SUBSTANCES AND METHOD FOR ITS MANUFACTURING
20210154349 · 2021-05-27 ·

The device (1) comprises a substrate (2) impregnated with volatile substances and a first film (3) that is impermeable to the volatile substances applied to one face of the substrate (2) and a second film (4) provided with a plurality of holes (5) applied to the other face of the substrate (2).

The method for manufacturing said device 1 comprises the following steps: applying a first film (3) to a face of the substrate (1); impregnating the substrate (1) by depositing the volatile substances on the face of the substrate (1) that is not coated with the first film (3); leaving the volatile substances to fully impregnate the substrate (1); and applying a second film (4) provided with a plurality of holes (5) to the other face of the substrate (1).

The device permits a more continuous diffusion of the volatile substances along time.

Folded or multi-layered paper air freshener

A paper air freshener, that may be folded into a multi-layered freshener, and may have other layers of polymer, or the like, applied thereto, with the concept of layering said freshener after being saturated or having absorbed the fragrance material, at the various layer levels, provides for a more gradual and controlled release of the fragrance to the ambient air during usage. The layers of paper may be laminated, or may be folded integrally from a singular paper structure, and secured together by various connectors, in preparation for its usage and application. The other layer of polymer forming a seal layer, and being debossed to form a well, into which fragrance material may be applied, during the assembly of the paper air freshener.

LATERAL VENT STICK AIR FRESHENER

An air freshener has a carrier with a pair of tabs defining a gap. A center tab extends from the pair of tabs and defines a longitudinal axis. At least one scented body is carried by one of the pair of tabs. The pair of tabs and the at least one scented body extend laterally with respect to the longitudinal axis of the center tab in opposite directions. The pair of tabs and the at least one scented body have a lateral width greater than a longitudinal depth.

An automatic dispensing device for volatile fluid operable to apply one or more agent to a local environment for more than 14 days. Preferred devices dispense a first agent for air freshening, and may optionally dispense a second agent, such as a drain cleaner. A workable drain cleaner is structured to permit a slow release of drain cleaning agent. A dispensing device may nonexclusively operate by evaporation of volatile fluid from a carrier material that is infused with the volatile fluid; gravity-induced drip from a bulk supply of volatile fluid through a small orifice onto an emanator; osmotic transfer of volatile fluid from a bulk supply; gas-pump drive of volatile fluid at controlled pressure; or diffusion of volatile fluid through a wall of a container of bulk volatile fluid; and combinations thereof.
