GAS GENERATION MODULE
A sterilant source for use in a portable sterilant system includes a gas-impermeable vial, a frangible ampule containing a first sterilant gas precursor material, disposed within the gas-impermeable vial, a second sterilant gas precursor material, disposed within the gas-impermeable vial and outside the ampule. The first and second sterilant gas precursor materials are selected to be mutually reactive to generate a sterilant gas. The system further includes an activation mechanism, actuatable to break the frangible ampule to release the first sterilant gas precursor material to allow it to react with the second sterilant gas precursor material to generate the sterilant gas.
AIR PURIFYING COATING SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR MAKING SAME
An air purifying coating system and method for making same having a carrier agent and a diatomic frustule titanium dioxide particle dispersion combined with the carrier agent. The coating system may include 70-99.9 weight percent carrier agent and 0.1-30 weight percent diatomic frustule titanium dioxide particle dispersion. The carrier agent of the coating system may include a cleaning agent or a polishing agent. The diatomic frustule titanium dioxide particle dispersion may include 1-35 micron particle size diatomic frustule titanium dioxide particles combined with water and dispersion additive. The dispersion may further include an anti-settling additive, a rheology additive, and/or a defoamer.
Device for dispensing a volatile liquid
The present invention relates to a device for dispersing a volatile liquid comprising: a wick; a solid support; and a volatile liquid; wherein the wick is attached to the solid support; wherein the solid support is porous; and wherein the volatile liquid is contained within pores in the solid support. The invention also relates to methods of making such a device.
Electro-ionic devices for improved protection from airborne biopathogens
An electro-ionic device that includes an outer frame, a first conductor, an insulating frame, and a second conductor. The outer frame defines a passageway there through. The first conductor is positioned within the outer frame and includes at least one wire configured to be supplied with a voltage. The insulating frame is positioned within outer frame and forms a non-conductive barrier between the first conductor and the outer frame. The second conductor is positioned within and contacts the outer frame.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PRODUCING NITROGEN OXIDE GAS
The method for producing dinitrogen tetraoxide comprising the steps of operating a decompressor (3) to reduce a pressure within the space area (2) maintained in the hermetically sealed condition to the decompressed or vacuum condition below the saturated vapor pressure curve of dinitrogen tetraoxide, supplying the dinitrogen tetraoxide liquid as a sterilant feedstock from a vessel (4) to a spray device (25) while preventing gasification of the dinitrogen tetraoxide liquid on the way between the vessel (4) and spray device (25), and spraying the dinitrogen tetraoxide liquid through the spray device (25) into the space area (2) under the decompressed or vacuum condition to, at the time of the spraying, gasify at least some of the dinitrogen tetraoxide liquid within the space area (2) decompressed below the saturated vapor pressure curve.
DISINFECTION OF A CONTAMINATED ENVIRONMENT
A formulation to reduce the numbers of bacteria, particularly Gram positive bacteria, in a space such as a waste disposal bin, via the vapour phase, and active over a long period, typically several weeks. The product comprises one or more essential oils or essential oil components plus a mixture of volatile and non-volatile solvents, on a carrier such as a non-woven, sintered plastic or cardboard.
FRAGRANCE DISPENSER FOR AIR FILTER
A fragrance dispenser for emitting fragrance into an airstream impinging on an air filter, the dispenser having a receptacle with an open end that faces toward the air filter and that has a porous diffuser layer occlusively overlying the open end of the receptacle.
HIGH SURFACE AREA RESERVOIR FOR VOLATILE FLUID DISPENSER
An automatic dispensing device for volatile fluid operable to apply one or more agent to a local environment for more than 14 days. Preferred devices dispense a first agent for air freshening, and may optionally dispense a second agent, such as a drain cleaner. A workable drain cleaner is structured to permit a slow release of drain cleaning agent. A dispensing device may nonexclusively operate by evaporation of volatile fluid from a polymer or rubber-like carrier material that is infused with the volatile fluid; gravity-induced drip from a bulk supply of volatile fluid through a small orifice onto an emanator; osmotic transfer of volatile fluid from a bulk supply; gas-pump drive of volatile fluid at controlled pressure; or diffusion of volatile fluid through a wall of a container of bulk volatile fluid; and combinations thereof.
Systems for diffusing volatile compounds utilizing moveable pods
A system for diffusing one or more volatile compounds included in a volatile compound mass includes a base and a pod tray, carried by the base. At least one pod is carried by the pod tray, the pod having a housing holding a volatile compound mass. The volatile compound mass and the housing are moveable relative to one another. An actuator is carried by the base, the actuator operable to engage the pod and move the housing and the volatile compound mass relative to one another. The pod and the actuator are positionable relative to one another such that the pod and the actuator can be positioned proximate to one another to enable the actuator to engage the pod and move the housing of the pod and the volatile compound mass relative to one another to thereby diffuse the volatile compound.
Methods and systems for sanitizing air conditioned by a climate control system
A method for purifying air within a space is provided. The method includes a controller determining whether an ON signal is received. Upon determining that the ON signal is received, the controller instructs an air sanitizer of an air sanitization system to turn ON to purify an airflow passing through the air sanitization system, and instructs an air movement fan/blower to operate in order to direct the airflow into the space. Upon determining that the ON signal is not received, the controller instructs the air movement fan/blower and the air sanitizer to be OFF.
