Arrangement and method for radio-frequency (RF) high power generation
A method and arrangement for RF high power generation includes a power combiner having RF inputs and an RF output, and at least two power amplifier modules, respectively electrically connected by a transmission line to an input of the power combiner, wherein a directional coupler is electrically connected to the RF output of the power combiner and every transmission line includes an RF switch, where the Method includes measuring and determining values of the power amplifier modules, storing the values and applying the values as a correction to the input signal of the power amplifier modules.

A Doherty amplifier according to the disclosure includes an input terminal, a first input transmission line connected to the input terminal via a branch portion, a second input transmission line connected to the input terminal via the branch portion, a carrier amplifier connected to the first input transmission line, a peak amplifier connected to the second input transmission line, a first output transmission line including one end connected to output of the carrier amplifier, a second output transmission line including one end connected to output of the peak amplifier, a synthesis line including one end connected to another end of the first output transmission line and another end of the second output transmission line and an output terminal connected to another end of the synthesis line, wherein the first output transmission line includes a wide portion which is wider than another portion of the first output transmission line.
Radio Frequency Switching Circuit With Hot-Switching Immunity
Apparatus and methods for providing hot-switching immunity for radio frequency switching circuits are disclosed. A radio frequency switching circuit may include both a mechanical switch and a solid-state switch. The mechanical switch may be configurable to couple an output path of a power amplifier to a subsequent component in its transmission path when in a first mechanical switch state and to decouple the output path of the power amplifier from the subsequent component when in a second mechanical switch state. The solid-state switch may be configurable to operatively decouple the mechanical switch from a radio frequency power source when in a first solid-state switch state but not when in a second solid-state switch state. The solid-state switch may be in the first solid-state switch state during transitions of the mechanical switch between the first and second mechanical switch states.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR MODULAR POWER AMPLIFIERS
Systems and apparatuses are disclosed that include an RF generator configured to generate RF signals having a wavelength. Amplifiers are configured to receive and amplify the RF signals from the RF generator and are separated from each other by a separation distance in a range between about 0.2 times the wavelength and about 10.0 times the wavelength. A power management system is configured to control one or more of the amplifiers based on information received that is associated with the RF signals.
SELF-CALIBRATED MULTI-CHANNEL TRANSMISSION SYSTEM FOR A SATELLITE PAYLOAD
A multichannel transmission system which includes a calibration functionality that allows precise calibration of the frequency conversion chains and of the multiport amplifier of the system to be performed without interruption of service. The proposed calibration makes it possible to correct the defects over the entire frequency band of the system.
Doherty combiner
The present invention relates to a Doherty combiner used in a Doherty power amplifier, the Doherty combiner comprising: a phase shift section connected to one end of a carrier amplifier so as to change a phase of an RF signal output from the carrier amplifier; a matching section connected to an output terminal of the Doherty power amplifier so as to impedance-match an output of the Doherty power amplifier; and a bandwidth improvement section connected to one end of a peaking amplifier so as to change at least one of a phase bandwidth and an amplitude bandwidth of the Doherty power amplifier.
Power amplifier system
A power amplifier system which operates at a narrow band with high power and high efficiency or at a wide band is provided. Said power amplifier system comprises at least one high power amplifier; at least one connection line; at least one input block which receives at least one signal from an input, which is connected to said high power amplifier and connection line, which sends received signal to either high power amplifier or connection line and which amplifies the power of the signal sent to the connection line; and at least one high power asymmetric output switch, which is connected to said high power amplifier and connection line and which sends signals coming from said high power amplifier and connection line to an output.
BALANCED RADIO FREQUENCY POWER AMPLIFIER, CHIP AND COMMUNICATION TERMINAL
Disclosed in the present invention are a balanced radio frequency power amplifier, a chip and a communication terminal. The radio frequency power amplifier divides, by means of a 90-degree power splitter unit, a radio frequency input signal into two equal-amplitude signals having a phase difference of 90 degrees, the two radio frequency input signals are amplified and then inputted into an adjustable 90-degree power combiner, and the values of a adjustable capacitor and an adjustable resistor in the adjustable 90-degree power combiner are controlled by means of a control unit, so as to synthesize the two radio frequency input signals into one radio frequency input signal when the phase difference and amplitude difference of the two signals at different frequencies are the smallest, and to input the radio frequency input signal into a circuit of the next stage by means of a specific radio frequency transmission path.
Absorptive Filter
An apparatus is disclosed with an absorptive filter. In an example aspect, an apparatus has a filter including a first filter port and a second filter port. The filter also includes a hybrid coupler, a signal combiner, a first filter unit, and a second filter unit. The hybrid coupler includes a first hybrid port, a second hybrid port, and a third hybrid port, with the first hybrid port coupled to the first filter port. The signal combiner is coupled to the second filter port. The first filter unit is coupled between the second hybrid port and the signal combiner. The second filter unit is coupled between the third hybrid port and the signal combiner.
WIDEBAND DOHERTY POWER AMPLIFIER
The present invention provides a wideband Doherty power amplifier comprising: a main power amplification device; an auxiliary power amplification device arranged in parallel with the main power amplification device; and a coupled phase compensation network configured for compensating a phase shift between the main power amplification device and the auxiliary power amplification device. The phase compensation network comprising a first transmission line section; a second transmission line section extending substantially collinearly with the first transmission line section; and two pairs of end-connected coupled transmission lines connected in parallel between the first transmission line section and the second transmission line section. The provided Doherty power amplifier demonstrated operation at 6 dB back-off between 1.3-2.3 GHz with efficiency in excess of 41%, which can be used in modern and future wireless communication systems which require power amplifiers operating over a wide frequency range.
