The present invention relates to a solid pressed air freshener and odor neutralizer composition which can include greater than 10% fragrance. The air freshener comprises a fragrance; preferably the fragrance is impregnated within a water soluble substrate made from a foamed vegetable starch, a surfactant and a solidifier. The solid formulations break down easily in the presence of water and may be sprayed, within the area to be freshened.

The invention relates to deodorizing products, and in particular, deodorizing products that find use in toileting. In some aspects, the deodorizing product is a solid substrate that disintegrates when exposed to water such as in a toilet bowl, where the solid substrate has been pre-infused with a scenting agent, for example, an essential oil or a microencapsulated essential oil. The composition can be placed directly into the toilet bowl water prior to toileting, thereby expediting the action of the scenting agent. After toileting, the scenting agent is substantially removed when the toilet is flushed. The invention can also be used as a deodorizing product without deployment in liquid water.

The present invention relates to a water-soluble effervescent solid perfume comprising a high content of fragrance which does not include organic solvents such as surfactants, preservatives, and alcohols. In addition, additional components may be carried for cleaning and sterilizing effects, and the effects of fragrance, cleaning, sterilization, and the like may be increased by impartation of an effervescent property.
