Self-biasing shunt switch with bootstrapping
A shunt switch. In some embodiments, the shunt switch includes a transistor stack including a first transistor and a capacitor. The transistor stack may have a first end terminal and a second end terminal, the first transistor being connected to the first end terminal, the first end terminal being connected to a switching terminal of the shunt switch. The capacitor may have a first terminal connected to the second end terminal of the transistor stack, and a second terminal connected to a low-impedance node.

A radio frequency module includes: a first terminal to which a signal of a first frequency band is inputted, the first frequency band being at least a portion of an unlicensed band higher than or equal to 5 GHz; a second terminal to which a signal of a second frequency band is inputted, the second frequency band being at least a portion of a licensed band lower than 5 GHz; a first amplifier configured to amplify a signal of the first frequency band inputted to the first terminal; and a second amplifier configured to amplify a signal of the second frequency band inputted to the second terminal. In the radio frequency module, the first amplifier and the second amplifier are disposed in one package.
Compact Architecture for Multipath Low Noise Amplifier
Methods and devices used in mobile receiver front end to support multiple paths and multiple frequency bands are described. The presented devices and methods provide benefits of scalability, frequency band agility, as well as size reduction by using one low noise amplifier per simultaneous outputs. Based on the disclosed teachings, variable gain amplification of multiband signals is also presented.
MULTI-RADIO FILTERING FRONT-END CIRCUITRY FOR TRANSCEIVER SYSTEMS
Devices and systems useful in concurrently receiving and transmitting Wi-Fi signals and Bluetooth signals in the same frequency band are provided. By way of example, an electronic device includes a transceiver configured to transmit data and to receive data over channels of a first wireless network and a second wireless network concurrently. The transceiver includes a plurality of filters configured to allow the transceiver to transmit the data and to receive the data in the same frequency band by reducing interference between signals of the first wireless network and the second wireless network.
Power amplifier for amplifying radio frequency signal
Power amplifiers for amplifying a radio frequency signal are provided. The power amplifier may include an envelope tracking power supply, a carrier amplifier coupled with the envelope tracking power supply and configured to amplify the radio frequency signal, an input matching network configured to split the amplified radio frequency signal from the carrier amplifier such that one part of the amplified radio frequency signal passes along a peak amplifier path and another part of the amplified radio frequency signal passes along an impedance transformer path, a peak amplifier coupled with the envelope tracking power supply and configured to amplify the one part of the amplified radio frequency signal from the input matching network, an impedance transformer configured to perform impedance transformation on the other part of the amplified radio frequency signal from the input matching network, an output matching network configured to combine the output of the peak amplifier and the impedance transformer, wherein the peak amplifier is configured to be switched off in a lower power mode and switched on in a high power mode based at least in part on an input power level of the radio frequency signal. With the claimed solutions, more powerful and efficient power amplifiers that are capable of operating over broader frequency ranges may be achieved.
Multi-band power amplifier module
A multi-band power amplifier module includes at least one transmission input terminal, at least one power amplifier circuit that receives a first transmission signal and a second transmission signal through the at least one transmission input terminal, a first filter circuit that allows the first transmission signal to pass therethrough, a second filter circuit that allows the second transmission signal to pass therethrough, at least one transmission output terminal through which the first and second transmission signals output from the first and second filter circuits are output, a transmission output switch that outputs each of the first and second transmission signals output from the at least one power amplifier circuit to the first filter circuit or the second filter circuit, and a first tuning circuit that adjusts impedance matching between the at least one power amplifier circuit and the at least one transmission output terminal.

According to one mode of the inventive concept, an amplification device includes a first amplifier configured to amplify an input multi-band signal to a first level, a separating unit configured to separate the multi-band signal having the first level into a first band signal and a second band signal, and a second amplifier configured to amplify the second band signal to a second level.

A transmission apparatus is provided with: a plurality of amplification units that amplify RF signals arranged in at least 2 bands; a first control unit that selects amplification units that perform an amplification operation, from among the plurality of amplification units, in accordance with total power of RF signals to be transmitted; a second control unit which, in accordance with a power ratio of the RF signals to be transmitted in respective bands, changes the power ratio of the RF signals in the respective bands while keeping constant the total power of the RF signals received at each of the selected amplification units; and a combining unit that combines the RF signals outputted by the selected amplification units.

A radio-frequency module includes a first inductor and a second inductor disposed on or above a major surface of a module substrate, a resin member, a metal shield layer covering a surface of the resin member, and a metal shield plate disposed on the major surface between the first inductor and the second inductor. The metal shield plate is in contact with a ground electrode of the major surface and the metal shield layer. The first inductor is disposed in any one of a transmitting path, a receiving path, and a transmitting and receiving path. The second inductor is disposed in any one of the transmitting path, the receiving path, and the transmitting and receiving path, other than the path in which the first inductor is disposed.
