LOW NOISE AMPLIFIER WITH HYBRID TERMINATION AND VARIABLE GAIN
A system including a low noise amplifier is provided. The system further includes a coarse attenuation circuit coupled to an input of the low noise amplifier and configurable to attenuate an input signal by a coarse attenuation interval. The system also includes a fine attenuation circuit coupled in feedback with the low noise amplifier and configurable to attenuate the input signal by a fine attenuation interval, wherein the fine attenuation interval is less than the coarse attenuation interval.

The splitter, the main-power-amplifier and the peaking-power-amplifier are provided by means of an integrated circuit.
METHOD FOR LIMITING AMPLIFIER INPUT CURRENT TO AVOID LOW VOLTAGE CONDITIONS
A predictive brownout prevention system may be configured to prevent brownout of an audio output signal. Particularly, the brownout prevention system may be configured to receive information indicative of adaptive estimates of power supply conditions, wherein the information indicative of adaptive estimates of the power supply conditions comprises information regarding a voltage component and a resistive component received from an adaptive battery model of a battery for providing electrical energy to a power supply for generating the power supply voltage and adapt the adaptive battery model based on a monitored battery voltage output by the battery and loading events of the signal path and excluding loading events of components other than the signal path which are powered from the battery.
TOTAL HARMONIC DISTORTION (THD) CONTROLLED CLIP DETECTOR AND AUTOMATIC GAIN LIMITER (AGL)
The disclosed embodiments include an audio amplifier system configured to provide a total harmonic distortion (THD) controlled clip detector and an automatic gain limiter (AGL) solution for a closed-loop amplifier. The audio amplifier system is capable of maintaining high power output without hard distortion (i.e., hard clipping) for providing better acoustics, while preventing damage to the system.

Processes and systems for producing glass fibers having regions devoid of glass using submerged combustion melters, including feeding a vitrifiable feed material into a feed inlet of a melting zone of a melter vessel, and heating the vitrifiable material with at least one burner directing combustion products of an oxidant and a first fuel into the melting zone under a level of the molten material in the zone. One or more of the burners is configured to impart heat and turbulence to the molten material, producing a turbulent molten material comprising a plurality of bubbles suspended in the molten material, the bubbles comprising at least some of the combustion products, and optionally other gas species introduced by the burners. The molten material and bubbles are drawn through a bushing fluidly connected to a forehearth to produce a glass fiber comprising a plurality of interior regions substantially devoid of glass.
LNA with Programmable Linearity
A receiver front end capable of receiving and processing intraband non-contiguous carrier aggregate (CA) signals using multiple low noise amplifiers (LNAs) is disclosed herein. A cascode having a common source input stage and a common gate output stage can be turned on or off using the gate of the output stage. A first switch is provided that allows a connection to be either established or broken between the source terminal of the input stage of each cascode. Further switches used for switching degeneration inductors, gate/sources caps and gate to ground caps for each legs can be used to further improve the matching performance of the invention.

The present disclosure relates to a power amplifier (PA) system provided in a semiconductor device and having feed forward gain control. The PA system comprises a transmit path and control circuitry. The transmit path is configured to amplify an input radio frequency (RF) signal and comprises a first tank circuit and a PA stage. The control circuitry is configured to detect a power level associated with the input RF signal and control a first bias signal provided to the PA stage based on a first function of the power level and control a quality factor (Q) of the first tank circuit based on a second function of the power level.
POWER AMPLIFICATION CIRCUIT
Provided is a power amplification circuit that includes: a first transistor that has an emitter to which a first radio frequency signal is supplied, a base to which a first DC control current or DC control voltage is supplied and a collector that outputs a first output signal that corresponds to the first radio frequency signal; a first amplifier that amplifies the first output signal and outputs a first amplified signal; and a first control circuit that supplies the first DC control current or DC control voltage to the base of the first transistor in order to control output of the first output signal.
