Power management in transceivers

Various embodiments are directed to apparatuses and methods to generate a first signal representing modulation data and a second signal representing an amplitude of the modulation data, the first signal and the second signal to depend on an output signal and vary a power supply voltage to a gain stage in proportion to the amplitude of the modulation data.

Audio signal control based on noise associated with state information received from an external device

A content reproducing electronic apparatus includes a communicator including circuitry, an audio output device, and a processor configured to receive state information indicating a state of an external electronic apparatus from the external electronic apparatus located around the electronic apparatus via the communicator, obtain noise information corresponding to the received state information, and control the audio output device to output an audio signal of a content based on a volume corresponding to the obtained noise information.

INDEPENDENT GAME AND CHAT VOLUME CONTROL

Methods and systems are provided for independent audio volume control. User input may be received in an audio setup configured for combined-audio, with the user input including one or both of a selection of a desired volume of a first type audio component of the combined-audio signal, and a selection of a desired volume of a second type audio component of the combined-audio signal. Based on the user input, a corresponding mix setting may be determined, with the mix setting including one or more control parameters for adaptively controlling mixing of the first type audio component and the second type audio component to generate the combined-audio signal. The mix setting may be determined based on a data set characterizing an audio device where at least portion of the mixing is performed. The data set may be pre-programmed and/or determined based on testing of the audio device.

An example computing system that maintains a playlist of media items for playback by one or more playback devices receives, from a first playback device, a request to play back the playlist and first operational data and also receives, from a second playback device, a request to play back the playlist and second operational data. The computing system provides the media items in the playlist to the first and second playback devices for substantially synchronous playback and, based on the first and second operational data, determines respective first and second advertisements. The computing system provides the first advertisement to the first playback device for playback during a given time slot designated for advertisements, and also provides the second advertisement to the second playback device for playback during the given time slot, such that the second playback device plays the second advertisement while the first playback device plays the first advertisement.

Method for automatically controlling loudness of an audio signal, and device for automatically controlling loudness of an audio signal

Embodiments of the invention provide for methods for automatically controlling loudness of an audio signal. Embodiments of the invention also provide for a device for automatically controlling loudness of an audio signal. In particular, the invention relates to controlling loudness of an audio signal to be replayed within a vehicle, such as a car.

SHORT TRANSMISSION TIME INTERVALS FOR SIDELINK FEEDBACK

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A sidelink message may be scheduled for a UE during a first short transmission time interval (TTI). The first short TTI and a second short TTI for transmitting a sidelink feedback message corresponding to the sidelink message may both be shorter in duration than a another, longer type of TTI. The UE may transmit automatic gain control information in a first symbol period of the second TTI, transmit the sidelink feedback message in a second symbol period of the second TTI (after the first symbol period of the second TTI), and switch from operating in a transmitting mode to operating in a receiving mode during a third symbol period of the second TTI (after the second symbol period of the second TTI).

Independent game and chat volume control

Methods and systems are provided for independent audio volume control. An example audio system may include a circuit for controlling one or both of generation and output of combined audio, with the circuit being configured to determine, based on user input, a mix setting applicable in the audio system to mixing of a first audio and a second audio when generating the combined audio, with the combined audio including at least a portion of each of the first audio and the second audio; determine a corresponding volume setting applicable at an audio output element of the audio system during outputting of the combined audio; and determine a corresponding delay applicable to one or both of the mix setting and the volume setting.
