Composition comprising a buffered lactic acid
A composition including a buffered lactic acid having a pH within the range of from 3.0 to 6.5 is disclosed. The composition is a lubricant composition and has a water activity of from 0.03 to 0.60. The friction between the absorbent product and the skin/mucous membrane of the user is reduced when in contact with the skin or mucous membrane of the user. An additional advantage is that the composition has a pH in the acidic range which is close to the pH of the skin and/or mucous membrane.

Absorbent article with blood slipping agent
The present invention addresses the problem of providing an absorbent article that is provided with a liquid-permeable layer, said liquid-permeable layer having convex portions that are hollow inside, has an improved ability to transfer menstrual blood from the liquid-permeable layer to an absorbent body and can reduce the amount of the menstrual blood remaining in the liquid-permeable layer (in particular, the internal cavities in the convex portions). To solve this problem, provided is a sanitary napkin provided with a liquid-permeable top sheet, a liquid-impermeable back sheet and an absorbent body that is interposed between the top sheet and the back sheet, wherein convex portions, said convex portions being hollow inside and formed in an excretion orifice contact region of the top sheet, are coated with a blood lubricity-imparting agent that has a kinetic viscosity of 0.01-80 mm.sup.2/s at 40 C., a water retention rate of 0.01-4.0 mass % and a weight-average molecular weight of less than 1,000.

METHOD FOR PREPARING PBAT LAMINATED MEMBRANE COMPOSITE MATERIAL AND USES
A method for preparing a PBAT laminated membrane composite material uses PBAT or a material with PBAT as the main component and other biodegradable plastic or superfine calcium carbonate in a mixture. The temperature of the mixture is increased by means of a lamination machine segment by segment, the material is heated slowly to a molten state, and the temperature of a rolling shaft is controlled by introducing cold water to the rolling shaft when the lamination machine conducts membrane lamination, so that the temperatures of rolling wheels and the laminated membrane are controlled.
ABSORBENT ARTICLE
A top sheet includes a skin contact surface configured to contact the skin of a wearer. The skin contact surface includes at least one projection and at least one recess. The top sheet further includes a back surface opposite the skin contact surface. The top sheet further includes a coating on the at least one projection. The coating essentially includes a blood slipping agent having a kinematic viscosity of 0.01 to 80 mm.sup.2/s at 40 C., a water holding percentage of 0.01 to 4.0 mass %, and a weight-average molecular weight of less than 1,000, and the coating is configured to slip from the skin contact surface, through the top sheet, to the back surface along with menstrual blood.

Amniotic membrane preparations and purified compositions and anti-inflammation methods
Compositions having a combination of specific biological components have been found to exert a number of useful effects in mammalian cells, including modulating TGF signaling, apoptosis, and proliferation of mammalian cells, as well as decreasing inflammation in mice. These components can be obtained commercially, or can be prepared from biological tissues such as placental tissues. Placental amniotic membrane (AM) preparations described herein include AM pieces, AM extracts, AM jelly, AM stroma, and mixtures of these compositions with additional components. The compositions can be used to treat various diseases, such as wound healing, inflammation and angiogenesis-related diseases.
Sanitary Device
A sanitary device for insertion into a body cavity having a perforated casing in which a medicant is located within a distal portion of the casing and a semi-rigid absorbent material is located within a proximal portion of the casing. A plunger extends into the casing from the proximal portion and is movable to force the semi-rigid absorbent material into contact with the medicant which forces the medicant out of the distal portion of the casing. Unwanted body fluids can drain into the proximal portion and are absorbed by the semi-rigid absorbent material.
A second embodiment of the invention includes an applicator for inserting a body insert into the body cavity. The body insert includes a semi-rigid absorbent material surrounded by a thin sheet of a lubricating material such as Telfa. The body insert may also include a medicant in the form of a gel material.
