Digital filter with programmable impulse response for direct amplitude modulation at radio frequency
A digital filter according to the disclosure includes a processing circuit having a memory and a number of parallel processing circuits. The parallel processing circuits perform a convolution operations based on input data and function data that is accessed from the memory. The filter further includes a serializer for serializing data that is received from the processing circuits. A clock generator circuit provides a first clock signal to the processing circuit and a second clock signal to the serializer. The frequency of the second clock signal is greater than that of the first clock signal.
Systems and methods for communicating through a hard plastic mask
The present disclosure relates generally to providing a flexible patch and system for communicating through hard plastic masks such as CPAP/BiPAP® masks. Using electronic circuitry and novel designs, the present systems and methods can detect speech vibrations and output audible speech from hard plastic mask wearers. For example, in certain embodiments, the present systems and methods can recognize speech through a CPAP/BiPAP® mask, filter out non-human voice related noise, and output the resulting speech of the mask wearer.
PHASE INTERPOLATOR CIRCUITRY FOR A BIT-LEVEL MODE RETIMER
Disclosed are some examples of Phase interpolator circuitry used in retimer systems. The phase interpolator circuitry includes a phase interpolator configured to: receive the phase control signal, generate, based on the phase control signal, an output clock signal, and provide the output clock signal to the transmitter to track a plurality data packets. Phase interpolator circuitry is coupled with clock data recovery circuitry. In some implementations, clock data recovery circuitry is coupled between a receiver and a transmitter. The clock data recovery circuitry is configured to: extract a data component from an input data signal associated with the receiver, provide the data component to the transmitter, and generate a phase control signal.
AUTOMATIC GAIN CONTROL SYSTEM FOR PROCESSING OF CLIPPED SIGNAL SAMPLES
Techniques are provided for automatic gain control processing to reduce adverse effects associated with clipped samples resulting from conversion of analog signals to digital signals. A methodology according to an embodiment includes identifying a clipped sample of the digital signal, for example by comparison of the digitized sample values to a threshold value associated with a full scale value of the converter. The method also includes applying a window function to portions of the digital signal. The window function is configured to attenuate samples of the digital signal within a region centered on the identified clipped sample. A Hilbert finite impulse response (FIR) filter may be applied to the digital signal prior to applying the window function. Parameters of the window function are selected based on frequency response characteristics of the FIR filter and on signal to noise ratio requirements of an application that receives the windowed digital signal.

The microchip (300) is a single unit which includes a plurality of interconnected embedded components and subsystems including at least an oscillator (315), a pulse width modulation (PWM) signal generator subsystem (329), an analogue to digital converter (ADC) subsystem (318) and a digital to analogue converter (DAC) subsystem (327).
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PROCESSING AUDIO DATA
An encoder operable to filter audio signals into a plurality of frequency band components, generate quantized digital components for each band, identify a potential for pre-echo events within the generated quantized digital components, generate an approximate signal by decoding the quantized digital components using inverse pulse code modulation, generate an error signal by comparing the approximate signal with the sampled audio signal, and process the error signal and quantized digital components. The encoder operable to process the error signal by processing delayed audio signals and Q band values, determining the potential for pre-echo events from the Q band values, and determining scale factors and MDCT block sizes for the potential for pre-echo events. The encoder operable to transform the error signal into high resolution frequency components using the MDCT block sizes, quantize the scale factors and frequency components, and encode the quantized lines, block sizes, and quantized scale factors for inclusion in the bitstream.
EMBEDDED GPU-BASED WIDEBAND PARALLEL CHANNELIZED RECEIVING METHOD
An embedded GPU-based wideband parallel channelized receiving method includes: constructing an OpenCL platform; decimating a wideband signal read in the OpenCL platform at an interval indicated by the number of channels; assigning data in each row to one of multiple work groups for processing; filtering data on each of channels based on a coefficient of a polyphase filter on a branch; multiplying the filtered data by a factor; and performing an FFT on the formed two-dimensional matrix by columns to obtain data outputted from each of the channels.
System improving signal handling
The invention provides a system improving signal handling, e.g., transmission and/or processing. In an embodiment, the system may include a filter circuit, a magnitude bit truncation circuit and a utility circuit. The filter circuit may be coupled to a target signal which contains one or more desired signals at one or more interested bands, for attenuating each said interested band to form a filtered signal. The magnitude bit truncation circuit may be coupled to the filter circuit, for truncating one or more bits of each sample of the filtered signal to form a truncated signal. The utility circuit may be coupled to the magnitude bit truncation circuit, for handling the truncated signal to implement handling of the target signal, so as to reduce resource requirement and enhance error tolerance comparing with directly handling the target signal.
