INDICATOR DRESSING AND METHOD FOR INDICATING A CONTAMINATION, IN PARTICULAR OF A WOUND
20190224363 · 2019-07-25 · ·

The invention relates to an indicator dressing with a carrier element, which is, at least in regions, provided with a marker material, which material, in a specific microbial contamination, changes a color. According to the invention, a first marker material is provided, which, in a first specific microbial contamination, changes color, and at least one second marker material is provided which changes color in a second specific microbial contamination, which material differs from the first microbial contamination. The invention moreover includes a method for indicating a contamination with this indicator dressing.

ETNESS INDICATOR WITH HARDENERS AND CRYSTALLIZERS
20190224051 · 2019-07-25 ·

An article for baby care or feminine care comprising a wetness indicator comprising at least one colorant, at least one stabilizer, and from 0.1% to 70% by weight of a hardening agent and a crystallizing agent, and wherein the wetness indicator has at least three of five parameters ranges for hot to cold solidification rate, cold to hot melting rate, set point, melt point, and infinite shear rate.

ANTIOXIDANT AND ANTIMICROBIAL WOUND DRESSING MATERIALS

A wound dressing material may include a polymeric substrate, a silver salt, and a dyestuff to photostabilize the silver salt. The substrate may include collagen and/or oxidized regenerated cellulose complexed to Ag+, and the dyestuff may, for example, be an aniline or acridine dye. Also disclosed are methods of making such materials, and wound dressings that include such materials.

Process for producing water-absorbing resin

The disclosed process for continuously producing a water-absorbing resin comprising a plurality of joined continuous steps; a polymerization step of polymerizing an aqueous unsaturated monomer solution, a drying step of drying a particulated water-containing gel-like crosslinked polymer obtained in a finely crushing step during the polymerization or after the polymerization, a pulverizing step after the drying, a classification step after the drying, and a surface treatment step for the water-absorbing resin powder after the classification step. In the process, with some of the above steps kept running, the other steps are interrupted, and subsequently all the steps are restarted.
