Systems and Methods for making Hydrophilic Foams
Provided herein are methods for making foam materials and foam material products having a polyurethane foam matrix defining a plurality of pores, a hydrophilic agent retained within at least a portion of the pores for improving an absorption of the foam material, a salt retained within at least a portion of the pores in an amount sufficient to render the foam material isotonic, a surfactant retained within at least a portion of the pores in an amount sufficient to be released upon contact with a moist surface. Also provided herein are methods for making a multilayer foam by casting a second foam layer on a first foam layer substrate and compressing the second foam layer before the second layer is fully cured to form an interface layer in situ.
MECHANOCHROMIC ARRAY PATCH AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME
Disclosed is a mechanochromic array patch that implements, as a color change, a strain applied to a skin surface due to musculoskeletal movement. The mechanochromic array patch may include stretchable mechanochromic color-changing parts, a polymer connection part that connects the mechanochromic color-changing parts, and a water-insoluble support part. The polymer connection part may have a higher elastic modulus compared to the mechanochromic color-changing parts.

IMPROVEMENTS IN AND RELATING TO POLYMER MATERIALS
Polyurethane material for indicating pH at a locus, preferably as indication of presence of microbes, comprising a polyurethane network having immobilised therein one or more hydrophilic copolymers, the or each said copolymer comprising: hydrophilic monomer; and indicating monomer, which provides an indication in response to a change in hydrophilic state of said hydrophilic monomer and/or copolymer; characterised in that the or each copolymer further comprises one or a plurality of ionisable groups or moieties or polymerisable monomers having one or more characteristic pKa values in the range 5 to 10 and which are responsive to pH at the locus in the range pH 5 to pH 10 and in that hydrophilic state of hydrophilic copolymer is dependent on ionisation of said ionisable groups, moieties or monomers; kit and device comprising the material and process for preparation thereof; and use in detecting or sensing microbes or pH.
METHOD OF APPLYING A SKIN BENEFICIAL AGENT TO AN ABSORBENT ARTICLE
Method of applying a skin beneficial agent to an absorbent article including a topsheet layer having a body facing surface and a garment facing surface, the article having a longitudinal front portion, a longitudinal back portion and a crotch portion located between the front and the back portion. The method includes at least the step of printing, by means of an in-line synchronized print technique, a water based ink composition including a binder and a microencapsulated skin beneficial agent on the article, the skin beneficial agent being at least a partly hydrophobic or lipophilic substance or additive, and the microcapsule material being water-insoluble at 20? C.

Functional wound dressing
The invention relates to a functional wound dressing being able to detect and indicate the state of the wound, in particular with regard to infections for example caused by toxins produced by bacteria such Staphylococcus aureus and Pseudomonas aeruginosa. The present wound dressing can be used in moist wound healing and contains a substance being able to absorb wound exudate from the wound and to provide moisture to the wound.

Antioxidant and antimicrobial wound dressing materials
A wound dressing material may include a polymeric substrate, a silver salt, and a dyestuff to photostabilize the silver salt. The substrate may include collagen and/or oxidized regenerated cellulose complexed to Ag+, and the dyestuff may, for example, be an aniline or acridine dye. Also disclosed are methods of making such materials, and wound dressings that include such materials.
