Combining voltage ramps to create linear voltage ramp
An improved ramp generator enables a very high degree of linearity in an output voltage ramp signal. Output ramps of the output voltage ramp signal are alternatingly produced from two preliminary ramp signals during alternating time periods. Preliminary ramps are produced at different preliminary ramp nodes that are alternatingly connected to an output node. The preliminary ramps continuously ramp during and in some cases beyond, e.g., before and/or after, the time periods. In some embodiments, switches alternatingly connect two capacitors to at least one current source, a reset voltage source, and the output node to alternatingly produce the preliminary ramps.

Electrical power converter
A power converter comprises a regulator, a value-supply system arranged for collecting at least one operating point of the power converter, and a predictor operative to produce updated regulator parameters (such as one or more power supply coefficients) implemented by the regulator to produce an output voltage to power a load. The updated regulator parameters are determined using a process based on the at least one collected operating point samples and predictor parameters obtained from a machine-learning process.

Voltage converters with hysteretic control
Various embodiments relate to a voltage converter including a control unit configured for operating in a hysteretic control mode. A control unit may be configured to receive a PWM signal, a duty cycle signal, at least one reference voltage, a factor of an output voltage of the voltage converter, and a factor of an input voltage of the voltage converter. The control unit may also be configured to compare the at least one reference voltage to the factor of the output voltage and the factor of the input voltage. Further, the control unit may be configured to generate a first control signal mirroring the PWM signal in response to at least one of: the factor of the input voltage being greater than the at least one reference voltage and the factor of the output voltage being greater than the at least one reference voltage. The control unit may also be configured to generate a second, different control signal including a low logic signal in response to the factor of the input voltage being less than or equal to the at least one reference voltage.

COMMUNICATION DEVICE AND COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
A communication system is configured to use a pulse width modulation signal as transmission code among a plurality of nodes connected to a communication line. A master node includes a transmission transistor connected to the communication line, a detector configured to detect a variation in current during the on-period of the transmission transistor, and a communication circuit configured to determine the off-timing of the transmission transistor based on the timing of occurrence of the variation in current (i.e., the on-timing of a second transmission transistor provided in a slave node). For example, the communication circuit can be configured to determine the off-timing of the transmission transistor such that the simultaneously-on period TB of the transmission transistor and the second transmission transistor fulfills TB=(2n−1)/2f, where f is the frequency of EMI noise.

Power supply with duty cycle limiting circuit, duty cycle limiting circuit, and method of operating the same
A power supply with duty cycle limiting circuit includes a conversion circuit, a drive circuit, a control unit, and a duty cycle limiting circuit. The duty cycle limiting circuit converts a control signal into a control voltage, and determines whether a power switch of a power supply is turned off according to the control voltage and a threshold voltage to limit a duty cycle of the power switch.
