METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR MODULATION AND DEMODULATION OF SIGNAL IN COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
An operation method of a base station in a communication system may include: performing an operation for channel measurement between the base station and a terminal; determining a size of multiple spreading resource blocks configured in a second two-dimensional (2D) domain based on a result of the channel measurement; transmitting information indicating the size of the multiple spreading resource blocks to the terminal; and performing a communication procedure with the terminal based on the multiple spreading resource blocks having the size.
Systems and methods for uplink signaling
This disclosure relates generally to wireless communications and, more particularly, to systems and methods for uplink signaling using blind channel estimation at a base station. In one embodiment, a method performed by a communication device, includes: associating a time slot with a data packet comprising a head portion and a tail portion, wherein the head portion comprises a communication device identifier and the tail portion comprises user data associated with the head portion; spreading the head portion into a first predetermined transmission format; spreading the tail portion into a second predetermined transmission format; and transmitting the spreaded head portion with the spreaded tail portion to a communication node, wherein the spreaded head portion comprises information to be used by the communication node for channel estimation and for decoding the tail portion to retrieve the user data.
Resource selection for communicating uplink control information
Resource selection for communication of uplink control information may include determining cyclic shift ramping for resource block (RB) sets. A user equipment UE) may use one or more RB sets for transmitting uplink control information on a shared radio frequency spectrum such as an unlicensed band. In some examples, the UE may transmit uplink control information to a base station (BS) via consecutive RB sets. To this end, the BS may schedule consecutive RB sets for an uplink transmission by the wireless communication device and monitor each of these RB sets for uplink control information.
SPREAD SPECTRUM CLOCK GENERATOR AND METHOD
In one form, a spread spectrum clock generator includes an oscillator and a digital modulator. The oscillator has a control input for setting an output frequency, and an output for providing a clock output signal. The digital modulator is responsive to the clock output signal to provide a control code to the control input of the oscillator as a periodic signal with a plurality of discrete steps, wherein the digital modulator provides said control code at each of said plurality of discrete steps for substantially a predetermined time.
Impulse radio ultra-wide band transceiver using radio pulses with multi frequency carriers
An impulse radio (IR) ultra-wide band (UWB) transceiver adapted for a rake receiver is provided herein. This may be implemented as follows: on the transmitter side, the input data is converted to N-parallel streams having different delays, each stream is transmitted by an impulse radio signal with defined different carrier frequency. On the receiver side, the multicarrier RF signal is converted into base band signal, emulating multipath channels, so that rake receiver technique is used for an optimal demodulation of the received signal.
METHOD FOR ESTIMATING SYMBOLS CONVEYED BY A SIGNAL COMPRISING A PLURALITY OF CHIRPS, AND CORRESPONDING COMPUTER PROGRAM PRODUCT AND DEVICE
A method for estimating information symbols conveyed by a signal including modulated chirps. The modulation corresponds to circular permutation of the pattern of variation in the instantaneous frequency of a basic chirp over the symbol time. A first demodulation of a portion of the signal that is representative of at least two chirps delivering: an estimation of a first modulation symbol associated with a first chirp with a stronger amplitude among the two chirps, an estimation of the amplitude and phase of the first chirp, a generation of a signal that is representative of the first chirp from the estimation, and a coherent subtraction of the signal that is representative of the first chirp from the portion of the signal delivering an updated portion of the signal. A second demodulation of the updated portion delivering an estimation of a second modulation symbol associated with a second chirp.
