System and method for joint radar-sensing and communication waveform utilizing unique word OFDM (UW-OFDM)
A system and method utilizing a novel waveform structure based on unique word (UW)—orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) is proposed for the applications of joint radar-sensing and communication (JRC). A predetermined chirp sequence is used as the UW in the waveform. The predetermined chirp sequence is used to perform radar functionality, which also increases power efficiency of linear power amplifier that is critical for radar applications.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR RADIO BASED LOCATION OF MODULAR ARM CARTS IN A SURGICAL ROBOTIC SYSTEM
A position and tracking system for radio-based localization in an operating room, includes a receiver, a mobile cart, a processor, and a memory coupled to the processor. The mobile cart includes a robotic arm and a transmitter in operable communication with the receiver. The memory has instructions stored thereon which, when executed by the processor, cause the system to receive, from the transmitter, a signal including a position of the mobile carts in a 3D space based on the signal communicated by the transmitter and determine a spatial pose of the mobile carts based on the received signal.
Multiple wideband or broadband antennas
A multiple wideband antenna or broadband antenna using the concepts of cellular clusters integrated into a dual polarity antenna panel. These panels integrate a free space optic capability to transmit and receive high-bandwidth communications and provide an option for communication transport of information from the base of the tower to the antenna. This antenna also integrates the capability to provide command and control using the cellular guard bands created between each cellular block to support Unmanned Aerial Systems or free space optics connection.

INTERACTIVE ENVIRONMENT WITH PORTABLE DEVICES
An interactive system includes a portable device configured to be carried by a user as the user travels through an interactive attraction. The portable device includes a trigger device and first ultra-wideband (UWB) circuitry. A central system includes second UWB circuitry and one or more processors. The one or more processors are configured to determine a location and an orientation of the portable device within the interactive attraction based on communication between the first UWB circuitry and the second UWB circuitry, receive an indication of actuation of the trigger device via communication between the first UWB circuitry and the second UWB circuitry, and display a virtual projectile on a display screen of the interactive attraction based on the location and the orientation of the portable device during the actuation of the trigger device.

NON-COHERENT LONG-RANGE (LORA) COMMUNICATION SYSTEM BASED ON MULTIPLE-INPUT MULTIPLE-OUTPUT (MIMO) TECHNOLOGY
antennas. The receiving antenna is configured to preprocess the signal to obtain a first cache matrix and a second cache matrix. After Hadamard product operation is performed on the first and second cache matrixes, operation results of the receiving antennas are accumulated and demodulated to output demodulated information bits.

METHOD FOR SYNCHRONIZING A SIGNAL COMPRISING A PLURALITY OF CHIRPS, AND CORRESPONDING COMPUTER PROGRAM PRODUCT AND DEVICE
A method for synchronizing a signal having modulated chirps. The modulation corresponds to circular permutation of the pattern of variation in the instantaneous frequency of a chirp over the symbol time. For a portion of the signal that is representative of at least one chirp, estimating a first piece of time synchronization information representative of a time shift in the signal relative to a given time reference. Using the first piece of time synchronization information, a piece of fractional frequency synchronization information is estimated, that is representative of a frequency shift in the signal relative to a given frequency reference modulo the inverse of the symbol time. Using the piece of fractional frequency synchronization information, second time synchronization information is estimated, representative of a time shift in the signal relative to the given time reference.
