CONTROLLING THE STATE OF DUPLEXING OF COUPLING FACILITY STRUCTURES
A coupling facility is coupled to one or more other coupling facilities via one or more peer links. The coupling of the facilities enables various functions to be supported, including the duplexing of structures of the coupling facilities. Duplexing is performed on a structure basis, and thus, a coupling facility may include duplexed structures, as well as non-duplexed or simplexed structures.

PAIRED-BEAM TRANSPONDER SATELLITE COMMUNICATION
Systems and methods are described for paired-beam satellite communications in a flexible satellite architecture. Embodiments include one or more bent pipe satellites having multiple transponders for servicing a number of spot beams. Implementations include novel types of paired-beam transponders that communicatively couple gateway terminals and user terminals in different spot beams. Some implementations also include loopback transponders that communicatively couple gateway terminals and user terminals in the same spot beam. The transponders can use similar components, can provide for flexible forward-link and return-link spectrum allocation, and/or can provide other features. Certain embodiments further include support for utility gateway terminal service and/or redundancy (e.g., active spares) for one or more active components.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR TRANSMITTING DATA
A method for transmitting data includes: sending, by a first device using a first transmission mode, first data to a second device, the first data being autonomously sent by the first device; and performing, by the first device using a second transmission mode, retransmission of all or part of the first data, the second transmission mode being different from the first transmission mode.
Redundant transmission for wideband radio systems
A communication system provides reliable wideband communications with reduced power consumption in a user equipment (UE) receiver. A UE may include receiver circuitry to receive a radio frequency (RF) signal from a wireless network and output an analog baseband signal. The RF signal includes M copies of a duplicated signal in a frequency domain. The analog baseband signal includes the M copies of the duplicated signal uniformly offset from one another in the frequency domain by a bandwidth F and including a gap between adjacent copies. The UE further includes an anti-aliasing analog filter an analog to digital converter (ADC). The ADC samples an output of the anti-aliasing analog filter at a sampling frequency selected to obtain a digital baseband signal comprising a combined digital copy of the M copies of the duplicated signal folded over each other.
System and method for establishing an intervehicle communication
A system for establishing an intervehicle communication for at least a first and a second commercial vehicle includes several wireless and/or wired communication lines, at least one message sending module and at least one message receiving module. The message sending module is configured and arranged to send the at least one message over one or more lines. The message receiving module is configured to receive the message over one or more lines.

Wireless communication system, wireless communication apparatus, and wireless communication method
A wireless communication apparatus (10) includes: a switching control unit (103) that determines an active mode wireless communication apparatus at an opposite side based on a failure occurrence status of an active mode wireless communication apparatus at the opposite side under a situation that the wireless communication apparatus (10) is in the active mode; a wireless transmitting unit (101) that transmits a switch instruction to the opposite side under the situation that the wireless communication apparatus (10) is in the active mode, the switch instruction instructing the active mode wireless communication apparatus at the opposite side that is determined; and a wireless receiving unit (102) that receives the switch instruction from the opposite side, wherein the switching control unit (103) switches the wireless communication apparatus (10) to one of the active mode and the standby mode based on the switch instruction received from the opposite side.
