System communication utilizing path between neighboring networks
A method of storing a communication path between neighboring home-control networks is provided. Each home-control network includes a network controller and a plurality of network devices. Each network device is configured to transmit and receive messages using at least one of powerline signaling and radio frequency signaling. A server receives a notification from a first network controller indicating that a first network device within a first home-control network received a message transmitted from a second network device within a second home-control network. The server stores an indication of a communication path from the server to the first network device via the second home-control network in a memory of the server.

METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR CONTROLLING CHARGING, BASED ON MONITORED COMMUNICATION SIGNALS ASSOCIATED WITH A CHARGING SESSION
Controlling electric vehicle (EV) charging operation by controlling capturing, from a pilot line communicatively linking an EV with an EV charging apparatus, at least one signal of a pulse width modulated (PWM) signal or power line communication (PLC) signal indicating EV charging session information associated with charging the EV by the charging apparatus; determining, from session success information from a controller of the charging apparatus, whether to analyze the EV charging session information; and when the session success information is determined to not indicate successful completion of an EV charging session, extracting the EV charging session information from the at least one signal according to Internet protocol layer, and analyzing the extracted EV charging session information to determine a marginal operating condition or a failure condition associated with an EV charging session.
System and method for identifying a connection between a power distribution unit and an electric device
A connection between a power distribution unit (PDU) and an electric device is identified by generating a data packet containing an identity of the electric device, transmitting the data packet by varying, on a power line connecting an output socket of the PDU to the electric device, a power level between distinct intensities for transmitting distinct logical values of the data packet, sensing, at the PDU, the power level on the power line, reporting, to an identification module, a socket number of the output socket connected to the power line and successive power level data obtained by sensing the power level on the power line, decoding the identity of the electric device by monitoring the successive power level data reported by the PDU, and storing, in a database, a reference between the identity of the electric device, an identity of the PDU, and the socket number.
DECODING CIRCUIT AND CHIP
A decoding circuit and a chip are disclosed. The decoding circuit includes, connected in a sequence, a charge/discharge unit, a capacitor and a conversion unit. The charge/discharge unit is able to charge and discharge the capacitor, and a ratio of a total time required to transfer any amount of charge into the capacitor to a total time required to transfer the same amount of charge from the capacitor is a predetermined value. The conversion unit is configured to output a third level when a voltage on the capacitor exceeds a predetermined voltage and to otherwise output a fourth level. This arrangement alleviates the computational burden of an MCU, eliminates any adverse effect of noise in a transmitted signal, allows an extended effective transmission distance when using an HBS protocol and is self-adaptive to signals transmitted at different clock rates, thus solving the problems with the prior art including heavy MCU computational burden, a tradeoff between error correction and transmission distance and insufficient adaptiveness to signals transmitted at different clock rates.
Communication implementation method and device for air conditioning units, non-transitory computer readable storage medium and processor
This disclosure discloses a communication implementation method and device for air conditioning units, a storage medium and a processor. The method includes: acquiring a channel state of a current power line carrier channel used between units in an air conditioning system; and determining whether to switch the channel between the units from the current power carrier channel to a next power carrier channel according to the channel state, wherein the next power carrier channel is any one of power carrier channels other than the current power carrier channel in the air conditioning system.
COEXISTENCE PRIMITIVES IN POWER LINE COMMUNICATION NETWORKS
Systems and methods for setting a carrier-sensing mechanism in a PLC node are disclosed. In a PLC standard, coexistence is achieved by having the nodes detect a common preamble and backing off by a Coexistence InterFrame Space (cEIFS) time period to help the node to avoid interfering with the other technologies. In one embodiment, a PHY primitive is sent from the PHY to the MAC know that there has been a preamble detection. A two-level indication may be used—one indication after receiving the preamble and other indication after decoding the entire frame. The MAC sets the carrier-sensing mechanism based on the preamble detection.
Method and system of tethered routers
A device and a method including a power supply module operative to extract electric power from magnetic field surrounding an electric cable, a transceiver operative to communicate in a backhaul network, a transceiver for a wireless local area network and/or a remote sensing unit, and a controller module communicatively coupled to the transceiver and/or remote sensing unit, where the device is mounted around a single electric cable of an electric transmission grid or an electric distribution grid, and where the device derives power form the single electric cable.
