A Personal Computer (PC) includes a setting data generation processor that generates a setting data file referred to by a setting value writing FB of a PLC and a transmission processor that transmits the setting data file to the PLC. A communication system includes: a transmission device including a transmission data generator, a pattern generator, a transmitter, and a control signal receiver, the transmission data generator that is configured to generate transmission data, the pattern generator that is configured to generate an alternate pattern alternating at every lapse of a predetermined time, the transmitter that includes a first equalization circuit and is configured to transmit a transmission signal including the transmission data and the alternate pattern, the first equalization circuit that is configured to adjust equalization characteristics on the basis of first instruction information, and the control signal receiver that is configured to receive the first instruction information; and a reception device including a receiver, a first detector, and a control signal transmitter, the receiver that is configured to receive the transmission signal, the first detector that is configured to detect a frequency component corresponding to the predetermined time of the alternate pattern included in the transmission signal, and the control signal transmitter that is configured to generate the first instruction information on the basis of a result of detection by the first detector and is configured to transmit the first instruction information.
PROGRAMMABLE POWER SUPPLIES FOR CELLULAR BASE STATIONS AND RELATED METHODS OF REDUCING POWER LOSS IN CELLULAR SYSTEMS
Methods of powering a radio that is mounted on a tower of a cellular base station are provided in which a direct current (“DC”) power signal is provided to the radio over a power cable and a voltage level of the output of the power supply is adjusted so as to provide a substantially constant voltage at a first end of the power cable that is remote from the power supply. Related cellular base stations and programmable power supplies are also provided.
Motor Control Device
A load control device may control power delivered from a power source, such as an alternating-current (AC) power source, to at least two electrical loads, such as a lighting load and a motor load. The load control device may include multiple load control circuit, such as a dimmer circuit and a motor drive circuit, for controlling the power delivered to the lighting load and the motor load, respectively. The load control device may adjust the rotational speed of the motor load in a manner so as to minimize acoustic noise generated by the load control device and reduce the amount of time required to adjust the rotational speed of the motor load. The load control device may remain powered when one of the electrical loads (e.g., the lighting load) has been removed (e.g., electrically disconnected or uninstalled) and/or has failed in an open state (has “burnt out” or “blown out”).

SENSOR SYSTEMS PRINCIPALLY FOR SWIMMING POOLS AND SPAS
A pool or spa control system includes a sensor system with one or more sensors in contact with a main body of water. The sensor system measures water condition data of the body of water and is mounted on a wall submerged in the main body of water. The pool or spa control system also includes a modem that facilitates data communications between the sensor system and communication equipment positioned at a different location from the main body of water.
ELECTRIC SHAVER WITH IMAGING CAPABILITY
System and method for improving the shaving experience by providing improved visibility of the skin shaving area. A digital camera is integrated with the electric shaver for close image capturing of shaving area, and displaying it on a display unit. The display unit can be integral part of the electric shaver casing, or housed in a separated device which receives the image via a communication channel. The communication channel can be wireless (using radio, audio or light) or wired, such as dedicated cabling or using powerline communication. A light source is used to better illuminate the shaving area. Video compression and digital image processing techniques are used for providing for improved shaving results. The wired communication medium can simultaneously be used also for carrying power from the electric shaver assembly to the display unit, or from the display unit to the electric shaver.
