Method and apparatus for managing coordinated multi-point set
Embodiments of the disclosure provide methods and apparatuses for managing a COMP set in a communication system employing an ASA scheme. According to the method, change information about an affected cell is received, wherein the change information uses an ASA frequency band and overlaps with a protected area of a primary system authorized with the ASA frequency band. The change information is then sent to a serving node coordinating transmission within constituent cells of a CoMP set, to indicate a change of the CoMP set, wherein the affected cell is one of the constituent cells of the CoMP set.

The disclosure is applicable to intelligent services (for example, smart homes, smart buildings, smart cities, smart cars or connected cars, healthcare, digital education, retail businesses, security and safety related services, etc.) based on 5G communication technology an IoT-related technology. According to various embodiments, a method and apparatus for transmitting or receiving multiple pieces of data in a wireless cooperative communication system may be provided.
TECHNIQUES FOR THROUGHPUT-CONSTRAINED BEAM MANAGEMENT
Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may estimate, for each beam at one or more beam levels on one or more antenna panels, an application layer throughput based at least in part on a reference signal received power measurement, wherein the one or more beam levels are each associated with a number of antenna elements. The UE may generate a set of candidate beams that includes, at each of the one or more beam levels, one or more beams for which the respective estimated application layer throughput satisfies an application layer throughput requirement. The UE may select, from the set of candidate beams, a serving beam for which the estimated application layer throughput satisfies the application layer throughput requirement with a fewest number of antenna elements. Numerous other aspects are described.
CHANNEL ESTIMATION AND DEMODULATION PROCEDURE FOR NON-LINEAR MULTI-USER MULTIPLE-INPUT MULTIPLE-OUTPUT PRECODING
Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A base station may associate a first and second port with a set of antenna elements based on a first and second linear precoding vector. The base station may generate coefficients indicating a first combination and a second combination of a first data set for a first user equipment (UE) and a second data set for a second UE. The base station may apply the first and second linear precoding vectors to the first and second combinations, respectively, transmit a first demodulation reference signal (DMRS) and a second DMRS using a first comb corresponding to the first and second ports, and transmit at least a third DMRS indicating the coefficients using a second comb. The UEs may extract data from the precoded combinations by applying the coefficients and estimating channels associated with the first and second DMRS.

Group-based unequal MCS schemes for a single user station in WLAN transmissions
Systems and methods of transmitting a PPDU to or from a single user station (STA) in an MIMO transmission by using unequal MCSs. An access point (AP) allocates a plurality of spatial streams to the STA and assigned them into groups for the MIMO transmission. Multiple unequal MCSs are assigned to the different spatial stream groups. Correspondingly the STA ID is repeatedly specified in the user block fields of a SIG-B field of a downlink PPDU, or in the user information fields of a trigger frame. Alternatively, multiple AIDs of the STA can be specified in the user block fields or the user information fields instead of repeating the same STA ID. An indication may be inserted in the SIG-A field to indicate that the grouped-based unequal MCSs scheme is used for the MIMO transmission.
