System and method for enhancing speech of a diver wearing a mouthpiece
Embodiments described herein provide a system, apparatus and methods to enable a diver to communicate more clearly with other divers or locations Embodiments process the speech to add clarity, or otherwise convert speech into an outputted form that is more intelligible e.g. so as to simulate the diver's unhindered speech. Embodiments provide hardware and software for receiving and recognizing hindered speech of a diver (e.g., speech hindered by a mouthpiece) and then augmenting the speech with generated output sounds corresponding to the intended speech sound or generating or replacing at least some of the diver's speech with synthesized words. The output sounds may be in the speaker's own voice or a synthesized voice. Embodiments may be configured to add clarity to and/or augment speech that is hindered by the wearing of a mouthpiece from a snorkel, SCUBA or other diving apparatus.
Method and device for processing wireless body area network data
A method and a device for processing wireless body area network data, the method is applied to a processing device for wireless body area network data and comprises: receiving or generating sampled value reference ranges; receiving sampled data from an acquisition device of wireless body area network data, and judging a sampled value reference range to which the sampled data belong according to a sampled value of the sampled data; and processing the sampled data according to the sampled value reference range to which the sampled data belong. Through the embodiments of the present document, degrees of importance of the sampled data can be automatically differentiated and the data processing efficiency is improved under the situation of limited resources.
Protecting user identity and personal information by sharing a secret between personal IoT devices
A wearable device provides protection for personal identity information by fragmenting a key needed to release the personal identity information among members of a body area network of wearable devices. A shared secret algorithm is used to allow unlocking the personal identity information with fragmental keys from less than all of the wearable devices in the body area network. The wearable devices may also provide protection for other personal user data by employing a disconnect and erase protocol that causes wearable devices to drop connections with an external personal data space and erase locally stored personal information if a life pulse from a connectivity root device is not received within a configurable predefined period.
WIRELESS INPUT SYSTEM BASED ON INTRA-BODY COMMUNICATION AND IMPLEMENTATION METHOD THEREOF
A wireless input system based on an intra-body communication and an implementation method thereof are provided. The method includes detecting, by a wireless keyboard, that a user clicks a plurality of keys of a keyboard and recording a keying code information corresponding to the keys; transmitting the recorded keying code information via an intra-body communication; receiving, by an intelligent wearable device, the keying code information; and mapping the received keying code information to a simulated keyboard keying code information and starting a searching mode of a default input method to search corresponding text messages for input. The present invention improves the input efficiency of the intelligent wearable device.
RECEIVER FOR HUMAN BODY COMMUNICATION AND METHOD FOR REMOVING NOISE THEREOF
Provided is a receiver for human body communication, the receiver including a comparator, a clock and data recovery circuit, and resistors or passive elements having a resistance property in power supply and ground connection units of other digital operation components and a power supply and ground connection unit of a printed circuit board (PCB) to remove or suppress a digital noise reflowed into a human body in the receiver and to raise reception performance by amplifying, with a high gain, a very small transmission signal transmitted through the human body causing a very high loss.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR AUTHENTICATING A USER AND A MOTOR VEHICLE
A method for authenticating a user with respect to a facility, for example, with respect to a vehicle. A signal having an item of information relating to the user is injected into skin of the user by a transmitting device. Direct contact is established between the skin of the user and a receiving device assigned to the facility, with the result that the signal is transmitted from the skin of the user to the receiving device. The user is also authenticated based on the signal received by the receiving device.
WIRELESS COMMUNICATION APPARATUS AND METHOD
A wireless communication apparatus may include: an oscillator including a coil assembly exposed to an outside of the wireless communication apparatus, a variable capacitor, and a negative resistor; and a phase locking circuit connected to the coil assembly and the negative resistor. The phase locking circuit may be configured to generate a control signal to lock an oscillation frequency of the oscillator based on an oscillation signal generated by the oscillator, and provide the generated control signal to the variable capacitor.
Always on receiver with offset correction for implant to implant communication in an implantable medical system
Disclosed herein are implantable medical devices (IMDs) including a receiver and a battery, and methods for use therewith. The receiver includes first and second differential amplifiers, each of which monitors for a predetermined signal within a frequency range and drains power from the battery while enabled, and while not enabled drains substantially no power from the battery. To remove undesirable input offset voltages, each of the differential amplifiers, while enabled, is selectively put into an offset correction phase during which time the predetermined signal is not detectable by the differential amplifier. At any given time at least one of the first and second differential amplifiers is enabled without being in the offset correction phase so that at least one of the differential amplifiers is always monitoring for the predetermined signal. In this manner, the receiver is never blind to signals, including the predetermined signals, sent by another IMD.
Mitigating excessive wakeups in leadless dual-chamber pacing systems and other IMD systems
Techniques for use with an implantable medical device (IMD) reduce how often a first receiver of the IMD wakes up a second receiver thereof to reduce power consumption. A received message and/or a channel over which messages can be received is/are examined, and a value is adjusted based on results thereof. After being adjusted, the value is compared to a first threshold if the IMD is in a normal state, or compared to a second threshold if the IMD is in a noise state. If in the normal state, there is a determination whether to stay in the normal state or switch to the noise state. If in the noise state, there is a determination whether to stay in the noise state or switch to the normal state. At least the second receiver is temporarily put to sleep, if the IMD is maintained in or switched to the noise state.
Display scanning frequency patterns to convey data
A computing device includes signal generation circuitry and also includes a location on the computing device that is operative to couple a signal generated by the signal generation circuitry into a user. For example, the computing device includes signal generation circuitry that generates a signal that includes information corresponding to a user and/or an application that is operative within the computing device. The signal generation circuitry couples the signal into the user from a location on the computing device based on a bodily portion of the user being in contact with or within sufficient proximity to the location on the computing device that facilitates coupling of the signal into the user. Also, the signal may be coupled via the user to another computing device that includes a touchscreen display that is operative to detect and receive the signal.
