Reception method, transmission method, reception device, and transmission device
According to one aspect of the present disclosure, a reception method in broadcast and broadband cooperation service, the reception method includes: receiving broadcast content transmitted through broadcast; receiving acquisition information through the broadcast, the acquisition information being information used to play back broadband content transmitted through broadband while the broadband content is synchronized with the received broadcast content, the acquisition information being information relating to acquisition of the broadband content; and acquiring the broadband content based on the received acquisition information. Therefore, the broadband content can properly be acquired in response to the reception of the broadcast content.
Method and device for providing heterogeneous network-based broadcast service
A method for providing a broadcast service, according to the present invention, comprises the steps of: if a broadcast service is provided by means of two or more networks, obtaining the maximum value among the fixed end-to-end delay of each network; and, on the basis of the maximum value, controlling an output point of a receiver which received packets of the broadcast service.

Communication Method, Electronic Device, and System
A method implemented by a communication system, including at least a first electronic device and a second electronic device, includes that the first electronic device plays multimedia content. The first electronic device sends first synchronization information through broadcast, so that the second electronic device receives the first synchronization information, where the first synchronization information includes at least a first address, and the first address is an obtaining address of the multimedia content. In response to a preset operation, the first electronic device establishes a near field wireless communication connection to the second electronic device, and the second electronic device caches the multimedia content based on at least the first address. The first electronic device sends a control instruction to the second electronic device by using the near field wireless communication connection. The second electronic device plays the multimedia content based on the control instruction.

Reception device, data processing method, and program
The present technology relates to a reception device, data processing method, and a program which make it possible to smoothly switch the output of data in a case where data transmitted via different transmission paths is received to be output. A reception device includes: a reception unit that receives a plurality of pieces of data separately transmitted via different transmission paths and given time stamps corresponding to each other; an output control unit that selects data to be output from among the plurality of pieces of data and controls a timing of outputting the selected data on the basis of the time stamp of a piece of data having a latest time stamp among the plurality of pieces of data; and an accumulation unit that accumulates at least the plurality of pieces of data given the time stamps later than the time stamp of the data that has been output from among the received plurality of pieces of data. The present technology can be applied to, for example, a reception device of a broadcasting system using MMT.

DIGITAL DOMAIN CONTENT PROCESSING AND DISTRIBUTION APPARATUS AND METHODS
Methods and apparatus for distributing content using a spectrum generation device. In one embodiment, digital content is received via a time-multiplexed network transport (such as Gigabit Ethernet), and converted to frequency channels suitable for transmission over a content distribution (e.g., Hybrid Fiber Coaxial (HFC)) network. In one variant, the conversion is performed using digital domain processing performed by a full spectrum generation device. Additionally, methods and apparatus for selectively adding, removing, and/or changing digital content from the full spectrum device are also disclosed. Various aspects of the present invention enable physical (infrastructure) consolidation, and software-implemented remote management of content distribution.
Playback Device Base
Example techniques may involve a playback device modifying its playback configuration when the playback device is placed onto a device base. In an example implementation, the playback device may receive, via an 802.15-compatible radio of one or more network interfaces, one or more packets comprising data representing an identifier of the first device base. After receipt of the one or more packets, the playback device queries a database for state information corresponding to the identifier of the first device base and modifies a playback configuration of the playback device from a first configuration to a second configuration based on the queried state information corresponding to the identifier of the first device base.
