Internet radio and broadcast via crowdsourcing apparatus and system
Data streams are generally selected according to user preferences and transmitted to the user in general alignment with expressed preferences of the user. Such data streams may be music, including music videos. Users may indicate their general or specific preferences with regards to song, artists, or albums. Any other aspects or factors that might affect the user's preferences can be taken into account. A playlist is created that combines all of these factors. The playlist then serves as the basis for feeding the data streams to the user. Each user is able to express his or her own preferences and receive music corresponding to those preferences on an on-going basis.
BROADCAST SIGNAL TRANSMISSION DEVICE, BROADCAST SIGNAL RECEPTION DEVICE, BROADCAST SIGNAL TRANSMISSION METHOD, AND BROADCAST SIGNAL RECEPTION METHOD
The present invention provides a method of transmitting a broadcast signal. The method of transmitting a broadcast signal according to the present invention provides a system capable of supporting future broadcast services in environments supporting next-generation hybrid broadcast using terrestrial broadcast networks and the Internet. In addition, efficient signaling methods capable of covering both terrestrial broadcast networks and the Internet in environments supporting future hybrid broadcast are provided.

LOCATION-BASED, RADIO-DEVICE IDENTIFICATION APPARATUS AND METHOD
An apparatus and method is disclosed to receive location data identifying the current location of a vehicle. A database, storing radio device records, is then queried. Each radio device record in the database identifies a radio device (e.g., a transmitter, receiver, transceiver, transponders, etc.) and a location of the radio device using a suitable coordinate system. Radio device records associated with radio devices likely to be within communication range of the vehicle may then be retrieved from the database. These radio device records may be used to generate a radio device list that may be presented to an occupant of the vehicle.

DIGITAL VIDEO BROADCASTING NETWORK SYSTEM AND METHOD OF OBTAINING PROGRAM INFORMATION IN DIGITAL VIDEO BROADCASTING
A digital video broadcasting network system includes a program information server to deliver program information by using Internet Protocol, and a client device to obtain and save the program information through the Internet Protocol. The program information server delivers the program information including a program information version indicating a version status of the program information and a program information map including a set of information records used to allow the client device to identify a program to be delivered at the version status and to reproduce the program, and updates the program information depending on a version change of the version status. The client device updates currently saved program information when a version status included in the currently saved program information is different from the version status of the delivered program information, by obtaining the program information delivered from the program information server.
Receiver system for audio information
A receiver can extract digital data from wireless radio frequency signal. The digital data contains index data and corresponding content digital audio data. The index data can comprise compressed digital audio data. The index data and content digital audio data are stored in memory. The index data can be retrieved from the memory, decompressed and then converted to analog audio signals. A user can use the analog audio signals from the index data to select audio content for playing by the receiver.

Apparatus and method for transmitting and receiving a frame including control information in a broadcasting system
Apparatus and method for transmitting and receiving a frame including control information in a broadcasting system are provided. A frame for a broadcast service is generated including at least one Physical Layer Pipe (PLP) and indication information for indicating a change/no-change of control information for the broadcast service in the next frame. The indication information includes information on a position in which the control information will change.
