Themed ornaments with internet radio receiver
Apparatuses for playing signals received from the internet or other information highway or a stored database on one or more speakers are described. The apparatus has a receiver for receiving information from preselected addresses; a processor for interpreting the signals; and at least one speaker for playing signals from the internet. There is at least display device in the form of a holographic projector connected to the receiver for displaying a 3D holographic image received from the internet. The processor selects images that correspond with the signals played by the speaker. The speaker projects the sound into certain areas of the environment, so that it appears that the sound is coming from a place other than the actual speaker itself. A holographic projector connected to the processor projects a 3D holographic image onto the place from which the sound appears to originate, rather than on the actual speaker itself.
Reception device, reception method, transmission device, and transmission method
Disclosed is a reception device configured to acquire second metadata including a flag, the flag indicating whether or not there is a component stream transmitted from a server via the Internet for a service. The reception device is also configured to acquire first metadata based on the second metadata, the first metadata including information related to a component stream for the service transmitted in a broadcast signal using an Internet Protocol (IP) transmission scheme. Finally, the reception device is configured to access the component stream transmitted in the broadcast signal based on the first metadata, and control reproduction of the component stream transmitted in the broadcast signal.
Audio encoding for functional interactivity
Some examples include receiving audio content through a microphone of an electronic device and determining whether embedded data is included in the received audio content. The electronic device may decode the received audio content to extract the embedded data. In addition, the electronic device may perform at least one of: sending a communication to a computing device over a network based on the extracted embedded data, or presenting information on a display of the electronic device based on the extracted embedded data.
System and method for in-vehicle live guide generation
A system comprises an intermediate communication platform that provides an interface to an Internet network; and a first server including: a port operatively coupled to the intermediate communication platform, processing circuitry, and a service application for execution by the processor. The service application is configured to: receive audio content recognition information from a first radio receiver of multiple radio receivers via the intermediate communication platform, wherein the audio content recognition information identifies audio content received by the first receiver in a radio broadcast; determine audio metadata associated with the received audio content recognition information; and send the audio metadata to the multiple radio receivers via the intermediate communication platform.
MEDIA BREAK WINDOW
A method for playing out a media program including a primary programming. The method includes storing the primary programming; forming first and second sets of content for play-out during a break in the primary programming, where the second set's duration differs by less than a predetermined amount from the duration of the first set of content transmitting, by a first mechanism, a base program including the primary programming and subsequently, during the break, the first set of content, and after the break, the primary programming; and transmitting, by a second mechanism, the primary programming at a first time offset to the transmitting by the first mechanism before the break and subsequently, during the break, the second set of content and after the break, the primary programming at a second time offset to the transmitting by the first mechanism, after the break, the first and second time offsets being different.
Information processing apparatus, information processing method, program, application information table supplying apparatus, and application information table supplying method
[Object] To stably supply an application processed together with broadcast content. [Solving Means] An information processing apparatus includes a broadcast content processing unit that receives and processes broadcast content, and a controller that acquires, for each request for acquiring an application capable of being processed together with the broadcast content from a server, an application information table in which first information for calculating a random timing is stored, and calculates, based on the first information, a timing at which the request for acquiring the application is transmitted.
AUGMENTING CONTENT FOR OVER-THE -AIR BROADCAST RADIO (AM OR FM) IN CONNECTED RADIO AND/OR ON MOBILE APPLICATIONS SYNCHRONIZED WITH OVER-THE-AIR BROADCAST RADIO
A synchronization server creates an augmented radio listener experience by providing additional information, especially visual information, over a concurrent, parallel data connection to a user device during the radio broadcast. The additional information is synchronized to the radio broadcast item then playing, based on an event message received by the synchronization server from the radio station equipment. The synchronization server can implement real-time interactions between connected radio listeners and a disk jockey dashboard of the radio station. The synchronization server optionally can personalize advertisement content for transmission to user devices based on user profile information and audience criteria provided by the advertiser.
Broadcast content preview notification in wireless communication networks
A method includes receiving, by a wireless terminal from a content provider, preview information referencing video content not yet received by the wireless terminal and that is associated with bonus content that has limited availability, expiration notification metadata, and expiration window information corresponding to expiration of the limited availability of the bonus content. The method further includes determining that the video content has not been consumed or purchased and that the limited availability is nearing the expiration based on the expiration window information. The method further includes, responsive to the determining that the video content has not been consumed or purchased and that the limited availability is nearing the expiration, generating, based on the expiration notification metadata, a prompt indicating that the limited availability of the bonus content is to expire.
METHODS, APPARATUS AND ARTICLES OF MANUFACTURE TO PROVIDE SECONDARY CONTENT IN ASSOCIATION WITH PRIMARY BROADCAST MEDIA CONTENT
Example methods disclosed herein include accessing a secondary content schedule based on one or more watermarks detected in primary media content, the secondary content schedule to identify (i) one or more secondary content items and (ii) one or more first time values associated with the one or more secondary content items. Disclosed example methods also include comparing the one or more first time values associated with the one or more secondary content items in the secondary content schedule to second time values provided by a clock to determine whether to present a first one of the one or more secondary content items, the second time values based on a timestamp associated with the one or more watermarks detected in the primary media content. Disclosed example methods further include causing a media presentation device to display the first one of the secondary content items according to the secondary content schedule.
ACR-BASED RADIO METADATA IN THE CLOUD
A system comprises a first server including a port, a memory, a processor operatively coupled to the port and memory, and a service application for execution by the processor. The service application is configured to: receive identification information related to an over-the-air radio broadcast via the port of the first server, wherein the identification information is transmitted to the first server using a radio broadcast receiver remote from the first server; communicate a request for automatic content recognition (ACR) of an Internet-based streaming version of the over-the-air radio broadcast; and receive metadata associated with the over-the-air radio broadcast in response to the request and initiate transmission of the metadata to the radio broadcast receiver.
