Method for Determining Beam Interference
An apparatus comprising: a MIMO antenna for transmitting beamformed signals on a plurality of beams using a common frequency- and time-limited physical channel resource; means for computing a beamforming gain of each beam in each sub-sector in a coverage area of said plurality of beams; means for determining a beam dominance region of each beam within the coverage area of said plurality of beams; means for determining, within the dominance region of each beam, an average of the beamforming gain of each of the other beams at least partially co-locating within said beam dominance region; means for determining inter-beam interference estimations as an average interference of each beam from each of said other beams; and means for scheduling transmissions of the beams by said MIMO antenna on said common frequency- and time-limited physical channel resource based on said inter-beam interference estimations.
Interference Mitigation Based on Antenna System Phase Distribution
A method of interference mitigation may include receiving a desired signal from an asset of the system at an antenna assembly and associating the desired signal with relative phase distribution information based on a relative location of origin of the desired signal where the relative phase distribution information is predetermined for the antenna assembly. The method further includes receiving an interfering signal and associating the interfering signal with relative phase distribution information based on a relative location of origin of the interfering signal where the desired signal and the interfering signal forming a received signal set. The method further includes normalizing signals of the received signal set to respective relative phases associated with each respective relative location of origin, and performing interference cancellation of the interfering signal based on the normalized signals.
Configurability and signaling for half-tone shift
Described is an apparatus of a User Equipment (UE) operable to communicate with an Evolved Node-B (eNB) on a wireless network. The apparatus may comprise a first circuitry, a second circuitry, and a third circuitry. The first circuitry may be operable to process a configuration transmission carrying a half-tone shifting indicator. The second circuitry may be operable to select one or more subcarrier frequencies for Uplink (UL) transmission based on the half-tone shifting indicator. The third circuitry may be operable to generate a UL transmission for the one or more subcarrier frequencies. The half-tone shifting indicator may have a first value indicating application of a half-subcarrier offset, and a second value indicating no application of the half-subcarrier offset.

A system that incorporates aspects of the subject disclosure may perform operations including, for example, a method of identifying, by a system comprising a processor, network communication degradation in one or more layers of a multi-layered communication protocol above a physical layer, wherein the network communication degradation is associated with communications taking place through a network, in part over a radio frequency link, between a plurality of communication devices, obtaining, by the system, data from a layer below the one or more layers of the multi-layered communication protocol identified as having the network communication degradation, determining, by the system, one or more geographic regions of the network associated with the network communication degradation from the data, and mitigating, by the system, effects of the network communication degradation in the one or more geographic regions of the network. SENDING METHOD, INTERFERENCE HANDLING METHOD, TERMINAL, AND NETWORK-SIDE DEVICE
This disclosure provides a sending method, an interference handling method, a terminal, and a network-side device. The sending method includes: sending first information to a network-side device in a case of interference, where the first information includes at least one of the following: first indication information, where the first indication information is used to indicate first expectation information autonomously determined by the terminal, and the first expectation information includes a type of each transmission time position in a transmission period; and carrier type information, where the carrier type information corresponds to the first expectation information, or the carrier type information corresponds to second expectation information selected and determined by the terminal.
ROBUST METHOD AND DEVICE FOR ESTIMATING FREQUENCY OFFSET IN ORTHOGONAL FREQUENCY DIVISION MULTIPLEXING COMMUNICATION
Disclosed are a robust method and device for estimating frequency offset in orthogonal frequency division multiplexing communication. The method includes: performing frequency-domain cyclic shift cross-correlation on preprocessed signal sequences with a short training field sequence in multiple symbol periods respectively in an initial signal receiving stage to obtain a cross-correlation result set; detecting a short training field signal according to the cross-correlation result set; when the short training field signal is detected, performing rough frequency offset estimation to obtain a rough frequency offset estimation value; performing rough frequency offset compensation according to the rough frequency offset estimation value; fixing the rough frequency offset estimation value, performing fine frequency offset estimation, and compensating residual frequency estimation; detecting a long training field signal to obtain a frame boundary; and performing channel estimation to obtain a final signal.
INTERFERENCE DISTRIBUTION COMPRESSION AND RECONSTRUCTION
Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may transmit compressed interference information to a network entity. The UE may measure interference at the UE over a set of interference measurement resources. The UE may determine an interference distribution over the set of resources. The UE may encode the interference distribution using a compressions scheme which may reduce a payload or size of the interference distribution. The compression scheme may include compressing the distribution of the interference. Encoding the interference information may include generating a mean vector and a covariance matrix representative of the distribution of the interference measured over the given set of interference measurement resources. The UE may transmit the encoded interference information, and the network entity may decode the encoded interference information. The network entity may schedule communications with the UE based on the interference information.

According to an example aspect of the present invention, there is provided an apparatus for a base station including at least one processing core, configured to cause the apparatus at least to define a first cluster of time-division duplex user equipments at least partly by including in the first cluster user equipments whose uplink signals may be received using a single first directional beamforming beam, determine a ratio of received signal strengths of a pair of user equipments in the first cluster, the pair including a first user equipment associated with the apparatus and a second user equipment associated with a neighbouring base station device, and responsive to the ratio fulfilling a predetermined condition, inform the neighbouring base station device of a scheduling plan of the first user equipment.

Wireless communications systems and methods related to communicating information are provided. A method of wireless communication performed by a user equipment (UE). The method of wireless communication also includes receiving a configuration from a network for uplink transmission using a first plurality of subcarriers, receiving an instruction from the network for interference cancellation with respect to the first plurality of subcarriers; calculating a plurality of symbols and modulating the plurality of symbols on a second plurality of subcarriers in accordance with the instruction from the network for interference cancellation; and transmitting a waveform to the network, the waveform including the first plurality of subcarriers and the second plurality of subcarriers.
Opportunistic frequency switching for frame based equipment
Techniques providing opportunistic frequency switching for frame based equipment (FBE), such as may be configured to minimize opportunistic frequency switching delay in FBE new radio (NR) unlicensed (NR-U) networks and/or to provide frequency diversity FBE access based on offset sequences of medium sensing occasions for the carrier frequencies are disclosed. Within the FBE mode network, a base station may configure a pattern of sensing locations in each frame for each frequency transmission unit of the plurality of frequency transmission units, wherein an inter-unit delay of sensing locations between a first frequency transmission unit and a next adjacent frequency transmission unit and between a last frequency transmission unit and the first frequency transmission unit is a fixed duration. Opportunistic frequency switching of embodiments may utilize the medium sensing locations for opportunistically switching between a sequence of the frequency transmission units for implementing frequency diversity FBE access.
