SYNCHRONIZATION SIGNAL OPTIMIZATIONS FOR SYMBOL INDEX DETECTION
Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. Some examples provide for identifying a primary synchronization signal (PSS) sequence of a synchronization subframe, determining, for the synchronization subframe, an extended synchronization signal (ESS) sequence based at least in part on the PSS sequence and transmitting the synchronization subframe. Other examples provide for generating an ESS sequence for a synchronization subframe to be communicated to a UE, scrambling the ESS sequence based at least in part on cell-specific information associated with the base station and transmitting, to the UE, the scrambled ESS sequence in the synchronization subframe.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR SIGNALING USING GENERALIZED CHU SEQUENCES
An eNB may determine a root for a sequence to be included in a signal to a UE. The eNB may generate a generalized Chu sequence based on the root and scramble the generalized Chu sequence using a pseudorandom sequence that is common to a plurality of eNBs. The eNB may transmit the scrambled generalized Chu sequence to indicate the beginning of a downlink transmission. The UE may receive this scrambled generalized Chu sequence and determine if a beginning of a downlink transmission from a serving eNB based on the received generalized Chu sequence and an expected generalized Chu sequence.
Methods and devices for performing duplex mode detection
A circuit arrangement may include a first detection circuit configured to evaluate signal data of a carrier channel to identify a timing location of a synchronization signal within the signal data, a second detection circuit configured to, using the timing location as a reference point, extract a first candidate synchronization signal from a first candidate timing location of the signal data and to extract a second candidate synchronization signal from a second candidate timing location of the signal data, and a decision circuit configured to analyze the first detection synchronization signal and the second candidate synchronization signal to determine a duplex mode of the carrier channel.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR ESTABLISHMENT OF PRIVATE COMMNUNICATION BETWEEN DEVICES
The invention relates to a method and devices for mutual communication between devices, and to computer programs enabling such communication. According to the invention, in a first device is controlled a transmitter module operable in a local radio communications network to transmit a sequence of radio signal pulses representing a predetermined code. In at least one second device a receiver module is scanning said local radio communications network to detect said predetermined code. A contact network of the user of said at least second device is accessed, and the predetermined code is checked in the second device against the user's contact network for a match stored in the network profiles for the contacts. Then a validation key is fetched, that relates to a matching contact found in said contact network, and a connection establishment request containing the validation key is sent over said local radio communications network from the second device to the first device. Thus the origin of the connection establishment request is validated in the first device.
NARROWBAND WIRELESS COMMUNICATIONS CELL SEARCH
Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication are described. A base station may broadcast a synchronization signal using a narrowband portion of a bandwidth of a cell. The synchronization signal may include a sequence repeated over several symbol periods using a cover code to support power-efficient cell acquisition. A user equipment (UE) receiving the synchronization signal may determine frequency and timing information for a cell by performing a weighted combination and accumulation of low complexity autocorrelation and cross-correlation procedures on the synchronization signal. The reduced complexity correlation procedures may be enabled based on the use of the cover code and a base sequence. In some cases, the cross-correlation may be performed at multiple sampling rates. The use of the cover code within the synchronization signal may also support correlation procedures that use recursive or repeated updates, which may allow for further reduced computational complexity relative to other cell search procedures.
Performing Interference Cancellation On Received Signals
A wireless device may receive configuration information associated with reduced transmission power time intervals of a first base station. Interference cancellation may be performed based on the configuration information and based on received signals to determine a signal corresponding to a second base station.
Interference rejection for improved cell detection
Systems and methods are disclosed for detecting one or more predefined signals while suppressing interference. In some embodiments, a method of operation of a wireless device in a wireless network to detect a predetermined signal in the presence of interference comprises detecting one or more first cells and detecting one or more predetermined signals from a second cell while spatially filtering transmissions from one or more perceived directions of the one or more first cells, respectively. In this manner, detection of the one or more predefined signals from the second cell is improved. In some embodiments, the one or more first cells are strong relative to the weaker second cell.
Method and apparatus of broadcast signals and channels for system information transmission
A method for receiving a broadcasting signal in a wireless communication system. The method comprises receiving, from a base station (BS), a physical broadcasting channel (PBCH) content over a PBCH, and determining the PBCH content including a payload, wherein the payload includes uncommon information within a transmission time interval (TTI) of the PBCH that comprises at least a portion of a 10-bit system frame number (SFN), a half frame index within a radio frame, and at least part of a synchronization signal (SS) block time index.
Adaptive interference cancellation in a wireless communication system
An adaptive interference cancellation method is disclosed. In an example, when a UE is served in a first cell by a first access node, the UE detects a second cell provided by a second access node that is not serving the UE. Further, responsive to the detecting, the UE determines that both (i) a broadcast CRS of the second cell occupies air-interface resource elements that the first access node uses as part of a PDSCH of the first cell and (ii) the UE has coverage strength of the second cell that is threshold similar to coverage strength that the UE has from the first access node. And, responsive to the determining, the UE cancels from scheduled PDSCH transmission from the first access node to the UE, potential interference attributable to the broadcast CRS of the detected second cell, such as by reconstructing and subtracting the CRS from the PDSCH transmission.
USER TERMINAL AND RADIO COMMUNICATION METHOD
A user terminal according to one aspect of the present disclosure includes a receiving section that receives a synchronization signal block (SSB) having an index in a range of values from 0 to greater than 63 in a predetermined frequency range, and a control section that controls at least one of cell search or measurement using the SSB. According to one aspect of the present disclosure, processing based on SSB can be appropriately controlled.
