CELL SEARCH METHOD, FORWARD LINK FRAME TRANSMISSION METHOD, APPARATUS USING THE SAME AND FORWARD LINK FRAME STRUCTURE
A method of searching a cell in a mobile station of a communication system in which a plurality of cells are grouped into a plurality of cell groups, each cell group including at least two cells, includes: detecting a primary synchronization signal and a secondary synchronization signal from a received signal; and identifying a cell based on a combination of the primary synchronization signal and the secondary synchronization signal. The secondary synchronization signal is related to the cell group to which the mobile station belongs and the primary synchronization signal is related to the cell to which the mobile station belongs within the cell group.
Radio communication apparatus and method of handover from a macro cell to a closed subscribers group cell
When a handover request for performing a handover of a terminal (70) from a macro cell C1 to a CSG cell C2 is received from an SeNB 10 (S8), a base station (TeNB) (40) of the CSG cell C2 transmits a handover response in accordance with a handover enabled/disabled state (S12). The handover response includes an identifier of the terminal (70) in the CSG cell C2. Upon receiving the response, the SeNB (10) notifies the identifier to the terminal (70) (S14). The TeNB (40) repeatedly transmits a dedicated signal containing a handover command via a dedicated channel set using the identifier at an interval shorter than a gap period (S18). Accordingly, whether or not access is permitted can be judged promptly and a smooth handover can be realized.
MEASUREMENT CONFIGURATION OF USER EQUIPMENT
Systems, methods, and apparatus for performing measurement configuration using a user equipment, UE, and a network node are disclosed. An example method performed by a UE includes receiving a measurement configuration from a network node, where the measurement configuration specifies a reference frequency corresponding to a set of one or more carriers. The measurement configuration further specifies an offset from the reference frequency. The UE performs measurements on a reference signal located at the offset from the reference frequency and uses the measurements for one or more radio operations.
Terminal device, base station device, and communication method
A terminal device (UE) includes a reception unit configured to monitor an enhanced physical downlink control channel (EPDCCH) on a Serving cell with frame structure type 3. In a case that the terminal device detects downlink control information (DCI) in a subframe, the terminal device assumes a configuration of OFDM symbols according to a field in the DCI in the subframe. The OFDM symbols are used for downlink transmission. A demodulation reference signal (DMRS) associated with the EPDCCH is mapped in the subframe according to the configuration of the OFDM symbols.
Method and apparatus for transmitting and receiving a synchronization signal and transmission system
Disclosed is a method and apparatus for transmitting and receiving a synchronization signal and a transmission system. In the method, a transmitting node determines a frequency band range in which a carrier is located, and configures or assumes synchronization channel information on the carrier according to the frequency band range, where the synchronization channel information includes at least one of: a subcarrier spacing or orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) symbol information of a synchronization channel; and the transmitting node transmits the synchronization signal using the synchronization channel information.
Broadcast channel reception in NB-IoT devices
A method for improving reliability of a narrowband physical broadcast channel (NPBCH) reception in narrowband internet-of-things (NB-IoT) user equipment (UE) during a cell acquisition phase. An object is to improve the existing NPBCH reception procedure in order to achieve a lower code-rate and hence a more reliable transmission between eNodeB and UEs will be solved thereby that the UE receives, descrambles and de-rate-matches at least a first and a second group of 64 NPBCH subframes, whereas using the four most significant bits of the system frame number as a counter and a modifier sequence {m}, which is applied to the first group of 64 NPBCH subframes, before combining the both groups, decoding and extracting the master information block from the combined NPBCH subframes and whereas the UE attaches to the cell if a match is found.
Method and apparatus for determining subcarrier offset in unlicensed spectrum
Methods and apparatuses in a wireless communication system operating with shared spectrum channel access. A method of operating a UE includes receiving an SS/PBCH block; determining a higher-layer parameter ssb-SubcarrierOffset based on an MIB of a PBCH included in the SS/PBCH block; determining a bit (ā.sub.Ā+5) from a payload of the PBCH; and determining a first value (k.sub.SSB) based on a second value (
Method and device for transmitting/receiving signal of V2X terminal in wireless communication system
A method of transmitting a synchronization by a V-UE (vehicle user equipment) signal in a wireless communication system, includes generating a secondary synchronization signal for the V-UE, and transmitting the generated secondary synchronization signal for the V-UE only in subframe 5 among subframe 0 to subframe 9, wherein a secondary synchronization signal for a D2D (device-to-device) UE is transmitted only in the subframe 0 among the subframe 0 to the subframe 9.
COMMUNICATING PAGING INFORMATION IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATIONS
Systems, devices, and techniques are described for performing paging in a wireless communication network. A method includes mapping a paging indication to one or more resource elements. The one or more resource elements are resources in one or more synchronization signal symbols that are not mapped by the synchronization signal. The method includes transmitting the paging indication to trigger a response from a user equipment for performing subsequent paging.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR SUPPORTING LARGE SUBCARRIER SPACING FOR SS/PBCH BLOCK
A UE in a wireless communication system is provided. The UE comprises a transceiver configured to receive SS/PBCH block over downlink channels using a set of parameters based on an operation mode. The operation mode is configured for the SS/PBCH block as a first operation mode in which the SS/PBCH block is used on a LAA Scell or a second operation mode in which the SS/PBCH block is at least used on a Pcell. The set of parameters is configured as a first set of parameters for the SS/PBCH block when the operation mode of the SS/PBCH block is configured as the first operation mode or a second set of parameters for the SS/PBCH block when the operation mode of the SS/PBCH block is configured as the second operation mode. The first and second set of parameters include different information each other.
