Synchronization signal block index signaling
This disclosure relates to providing synchronization signal block index signaling in a cellular communication system. A cellular base station may provide synchronization signals according to a periodic pattern, including transmitting one or more synchronization signal bursts each including one or more synchronization signal blocks. A wireless device may detect a synchronization signal block. The wireless device may determine a synchronization signal block index of the detected synchronization signal block. The wireless device may provide an indication of the synchronization signal block index of the detected synchronization signal block to the cellular base station.

A method of a terminal in a wireless communication system is provided. Wireless communications systems and methods related user multiplexing with discrete Fourier transform (DFT) precoded frequency interlaces are provided. A first wireless communication device identifies a first block-spreading code from a set of block-spreading codes associated with user multiplexing. The first wireless communication device communicates, with a second wireless communication device using a frequency interlace in a frequency spectrum, a first communication signal including a first block of information symbols spread across a set of resource blocks (RBs) within the frequency interlace based on the first block-spreading code. The first communication signal is generated by block-spreading the first block of information symbols based on the first block-spreading code to produce a first block of spread information symbols, performing a DFT on the first block of spread information symbols, and mapping the first block of spread information symbols to the set of RBs.

Transmitting apparatus and mapping method thereof
A transmitting apparatus is disclosed. The transmitting apparatus includes an encoder to perform channel encoding with respect to bits and generate a codeword, an interleaver to interleave the codeword, and a modulator to map the interleaved codeword onto a non-uniform constellation according to a modulation scheme, and the constellation may include constellation points defined based on various tables according to the modulation scheme.
Spreading and precoding in OFDM
An OFDM transmitter spreads original data symbols with a complex-valued spreading matrix derived from a discrete Fourier transform. Spread data symbols are mapped to OFDM subcarriers. Spreading and mapping are configured to produce a transmitted spread-OFDM signal with a low peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) and orthogonal code spaces. In MIMO systems, the complex-valued spreading matrix can comprise a MIMO precoding matrix, and the code spaces can comprise MIMO subspaces. In Cooperative-MIMO, a combination of low code-space cross correlation and low PAPR can be achieved.

Narrow band internet of things communications over a satellite communication system
A user terminal (UT) to transmit small amounts of data, the UT including: a packet including the data, where the packet is less than 128 bytes; a frequency synchronizer to synchronize a transmission frequency of an ASCMA return link connecting the UT with a satellite gateway; and an ASCMA transmitter to transmit, without acquiring timing synchronization with the satellite gateway from the UT, the packet modulated over the synchronized transmission frequency as an ASCMA waveform including a preamble to indicate a start of a transmission. Other embodiments of this aspect include corresponding computer systems, apparatus, and computer programs recorded on one or more computer storage devices, each configured to perform the actions of the methods.
