Event 6D enhancements

The present aspects relate to enabling a user equipment (UE) to operate in Dual Carrier mode during wireless communication, including generating an event trigger to be transmitted to a network entity in response to the UE satisfying a maximum transmit power threshold value, wherein generating the event trigger initiates a trigger timer that controls when to transmit the event trigger to the network. The aspects further include determining whether a plurality of optimization conditions are met, and modifying a transmission scheme based on the determination that the plurality of optimization conditions are met, wherein modifying the transmission scheme prevents the transmission of the event trigger to the network entity and resets the trigger timer.

The method also comprises transmitting the uplink signalling message according to the determined transmission mode. The disclosure also relates to a corresponding method performed in the network element, and to the corresponding apparatus.

Unified non-orthogonal multiple access

Systems, methods, and instrumentalities are described herein that may be used for NOMA resource selection. Different types of NOMA resources may be configured by a network and selected by a WTRU based on rules, priorities, fairness, overloading factors, multiple access signature sizes, measurement results, payload sizes, and/or the like. Single-NOMA operations may be performed using DFT-invariant codewords. Multiple NOMA schemes may coexist with different codeword types and/or codeword sizes.

NON-ORTHOGONAL MULTIPLE ACCESS HYBRID AUTOMATIC REPEAT REQUEST

A device of a receiver, a method and a machine readable medium to implement the method. The method includes: determining a residual rate to identify a decoding estimate for a first packet sent from a wireless first transmitter; determining a grouping of transmitters including the first transmitter and a wireless second transmitter scheduled to transmit a second packet; performing power optimization by determining lowest necessary transmission powers corresponding, respectively, to transmissions of the first packet from the first transmitter and of the second packet from the second transmitter, wherein the transmissions of the first and second packets are within a same time-frequency resource and together define a signal to be received at the receiver; and encoding for transmission to the first and second transmitters information on the signal based on the residual rate, the grouping and the power optimization.

Communication apparatus and communication method

A MS transmits, to a BS, uplink data (UD) on a PUSCH, PUSCH being assigned by using a PDCCH. The MS receives on PDCCH, an indication instructing the MS to transmit reception quality information (RQI) without UD on PUSCH, and transmits on PUSCH, to the BS, RQI without UD based on the indication which is received on PDCCH. The indication is specified based on values to which a plurality of fields of information transmitted on PDCCH are set. One of the plurality of fields is a field used for instructing the MS to transmit RQI and another is a field used for indicating a redundancy version. For instructing the MS to transmit RQI without UD on PUSCH, the field used for instructing the MS to transmit RQI is set to a first single predetermined value (SPV) and the field used for indicating the redundancy version is set to a second SPV.

A method of operating a user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system is provided. The method includes obtaining resource allocation indication information from a base station through a control channel, determining a UE operation mode based on the resource allocation indication information, transmitting an uplink signal by allocating physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) resource based on a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) demodulation reference signal (DMRS) received from the base station, when the UE operation mode is a full duplex multiplexing radio (FDR) mode, performing self-interference channel estimation based on a PUSCH DMRS resource location, and performing reception channel estimation based on the PDSCH DMRS and demodulating data.

UPLINK POWER CONTROL FOR FULL DUPLEX COMMUNICATION

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive downlink control information (DCI) that schedules an uplink communication in an uplink frequency band. The UE may transmit, at an uplink frequency within the uplink frequency band, the uplink communication with a power that varies over the uplink frequency band based at least in part on a location of the uplink frequency relative to a downlink frequency band associated with the UE. Numerous other aspects are provided.

Telecommunications network coverage

A system and method for improving network coverage is discussed herein. The system and method can improve network coverage based on lack of coverage key performance indicators generated by disconnection data when user equipment (UE) disconnects from and reconnects to a wireless network. The system determines if the disconnection is associated with a lack of coverage by the wireless network or some other reason. When the disconnection is due to lack of coverage, once the UE reconnects to the wireless network, lack of coverage data associated with the lack of coverage can be used to generate key performance indicators which can be used to improve network coverage. For example, an additional network site can be added to the network, a network site operating parameter can be adjusted, or the like.

WIDEBAND CARRIER CONFIRGURATION

A base station may generate first configuration information to configure a first user equipment (“UE”) to operate using a first bandwidth within a wideband carrier of a cell, generate second configuration information to configure a second UE to operate using a second bandwidth within the wideband carrier of the cell, and cause transmission of the first and second configuration information to the first and second UEs, respectively. The base station may configure the first and second UEs based upon capabilities received from each UE, respectively.
