SIGNAL TRANSMISSION OR RECEPTION METHOD AND APPARATUS THEREFOR IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM
A method for a base station for transmitting a downlink signal in a wireless communication system according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises the steps of: modulating, of a codeword of a first terminal, a first part by means of a first modulation and coding scheme (MCS) and a second part by means of a second MCS; and transmitting the modulated codeword to the first terminal, wherein the second part of the codeword is transmitted along with a signal of a second terminal from the same resource on the basis of the non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) method, and the second MCS for the second part, transmitted on the basis of the NOMA method, has a lower modulation order than the first MCS for the first part.
GROUP-BASED UNEQUAL MCS SCHEMES FOR A SINGLE USER STATION IN WLAN TRANSMISSIONS
Systems and methods of transmitting a PPDU to or from a single user station (STA) in an MIMO transmission by using unequal MCSs. An access point (AP) allocates a plurality of spatial streams to the STA and assigned them into groups for the MIMO transmission. Multiple unequal MCSs are assigned to the different spatial stream groups. Correspondingly the STA ID is repeatedly specified in the user block fields of a SIG-B field of a downlink PPDU, or in the user information fields of a trigger frame. Alternatively, multiple AIDs of the STA can be specified in the user block fields or the user information fields instead of repeating the same STA ID. An indication may be inserted in the SIG-A field to indicate that the grouped-based unequal MCSs scheme is used for the MIMO transmission.
Audio frame labeling to achieve unequal error protection for audio frames of unequal importance
An endpoint device receives a sequence of audio frames. The endpoint device determines for each audio frame a respective importance level among possible importance levels ranging from a low importance level to a high importance level based on content in the audio frame indicative of the respective importance level. The endpoint device associates each audio frame with the respective importance level, to produce different subsets of audio frames associated with respective ones of different importance levels. The endpoint device, for each subset of audio frames, applies forward error correction to a fraction of audio frames in the subset of audio frames, wherein the fraction increases as the importance level of the audio frames in the subset increases, and does not apply forward error correction to remaining audio frames in the subset.
ORDERING OF CSI IN UCI
Methods and systems for reporting Channel State Information (CSI), including ordering of CSI in Uplink Control Information (UCI), are provided herein. According to one embodiment, a method performed in a wireless device for reporting CSI comprises at least one of: receiving an indication of a resource allocation for an UL transmission; determining, from the indication, a maximum container size for a CSI report; mapping the one or more information bits of a CSI report to a bitstream, optionally such that a first CSI subset is mapped to more significant bits than a second CSI subset; and omitting the one or more least significant bits of the bitstream.
SIGNAL MULTIPLEXING DEVICE AND SIGNAL MULTIPLEXING METHOD USING LAYERED DIVISION MULTIPLEXING
An apparatus and method for multiplexing signals using layered division multiplexing are disclosed. A signal multiplexing apparatus according to an embodiment of the present invention includes a combiner configured to combine a core layer signal and an enhanced layer signal at different power levels, and a time interleaver configured to perform interleaving applied to both the core layer signal and the enhanced layer signal.
Adaptive uplink link adaptation
A wireless communication system is presented for adaptive uplink (UL) link adaptation (LA). The adaptive UL LA can include multiple outer loops, for which multiple block error rate (BLER) filtering is performed. Each of the multiple BLER filtering can be performed on groups or sub-groups of subframes, in which each group has the same or similar coding characteristics. For example, one group in TD-LTE could be subframes with sounding reference signal (SRS) and another group could be subframes without SRS. Each of the multiple BLER filtering can use the same or different BLER algorithm, BLER target and/or BLER parameters.
Methods and devices for modulating and coding data packets
A method for modulating and coding a data packet comprising digitally encoded information. The method comprises selecting a hierarchy of modulation and coding schemes to use for modulation and coding of the digitally encoded information. The method also comprises identifying, among the bits in the digitally encoded information and based on the selected hierarchy of modulation and coding schemes, two sets of data, a first set of data and a second set of data, the second set of data being a sub-set of the first set of data and comprising bits different from the most robust bits of the first set of data. The method further comprises performing modulation and coding of the first set of data using a modulation and coding scheme with high order modulation in order to create a first layer of the data packet.
RADIO TRANSMISSION DEVICE AND METHOD
A radio transmitting device and method enables reduction of an increase of CGI memories for the control channel and an improvement of the throughput of the data channel. When multiplex transmission through the control channel and the data channel is carried out and when adaptive modulation is applied to both channels, an MCS selecting section is provided with one CQI table for the data channel and CQI tables for the control channel, and a table selecting MCS determining section selects one of the tables depending on the transmission bandwidth of the terminal and determines the MCS of the control channel while looking up the selected CQI table.
Data transmission method, device, and system
A data transmission method, device, and system to resolve a problem that encoding cannot be performed based on an incomplete subframe because a length of the incomplete subframe is unknown. A first device generates a first subframe and a second subframe according to first data, determines a redundancy version (RV) of the first subframe according to an RV of the second subframe, and sends M of N orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) symbols of the first subframe and N OFDM symbols of the second subframe to a second device.
MODULARIZED DESIGN FOR INTER-PHYSICAL LAYER PRIORITY UCI MULTIPLEXING
Systems and methods for modularized design for inter-physical layer priority uplink control information (UCI) multiplexing are disclosed herein. A user equipment (UE) may determine a first code rate for a first portion of UCI and a second code rate for a second portion of UCI. Different code rates may be used to encode different portions of UCI (e.g., hybrid automatic repeat request acknowledgement (HARQ-ACK) bits, channel state information (CSI) reporting bits, scheduling request (SR) bits, cyclic redundancy check (CRC) bits, etc.). Further, a UE may select a group of bets offset sets based on a physical layer priority type and a UCI multiplexing type.
