Methods and systems for stiffening of tissue for improved processing

Methods and systems for stiffening of tissue are presented to allow improved processing. Solutions including an acid or a base can be contacted with tissue to stiffen one or more components of the tissue. The resulting stiffened tissue can be used in the creation of wound treatment devices.

Breast treatment device

The present disclosure provides devices and methods for treating the breast. The devices can include an acellular tissue matrix having a predefined shape. The shape can include a first edge with an S-shaped configuration and a second arcuate-shaped edge. The shape alternatively can include a first concave edge and a second convex edge.

Systems for drying sheets of donor-provided human tissue

Embodiments of this technology may include an apparatus for drying tissue. The apparatus may include human donor tissue placed in contact with and between at least two layers of backing material. This tissue and backing layer may then be restrained by two plates. This tissue may be amniotic tissue. The backing layer may include woven or nonwoven material. This backing layer may be wetted with a saline solution. At least one of the plates of the tissue drying apparatus may be perforated. The tissue assembly along with the plates may then be placed inside a chamber configured to receive the plates and tissue assembly. The chamber may be configured so that gas can be forced into the chamber with the gas flow going around the plates and the tissue assembly.

Graft materials for surgical breast procedures

Graft materials and devices for surgical breast procedures may include a sheet of biocompatible material and a plurality of fenestrations distributed across a portion of the sheet of biocompatible material. The sheet of biocompatible material can have a first axis and a second axis coincident with the sheet of biocompatible material. The sheet of biocompatible material can also have a first edge that intersects the second axis and a second edge that intersects the second axis. The first axis can be orthogonal to the second axis. The plurality of fenestrations can be distributed across a portion of the sheet of biocompatible material closer to the first edge than the second edge. Other apparatuses and methods are disclosed.

ATRAUMATICALLY FORMED TISSUE COMPOSITION, DEVICES AND METHODS OF PREPARATION AND TREATMENT

A process and system provides for atraumatic preparation of morselized Tissue Particles (TP)s, such as Full Thickness Skin Graft Particles (FTSGPs), cartilage particles and other organ tissue particles, in a liquid medium. The resultant tissue product may be a suspension of Tissue Particles in an aqueous solution and containing highly viable cells and may be rapidly prepared at bedside or in the operating room and conveniently delivered to a patient through a syringe or similar applicator. The morselized Tissues Particles may be used for surgical applications including wound healing, cosmetic surgery, and orthopedic cartilage repairs.

Regenerative materials

Methods of making tissue fillers are provided. In certain embodiments, the tissue is flake-like and has regenerative properties.

Systems, instruments, methods, and compositions are described involving removing a portion of the epidermis within a donor site on a subject, and harvesting dermal plugs within the donor site. An injectable filler is formed by mincing the dermal plugs. The injectable filler is configured for injecting into a recipient site on the subject.

Method for preparing cell growth scaffold having structural memory properties

Disclosed is a method for preparing a cell growth scaffold having a structural memory feature, comprising a step of preparing a micro-fibrous or flocculent acellular tissue matrix material; a step of preparing an acidification-treated hydrogel-like acellular tissue matrix particles; proportionally mixing the micro-fibrous or flocculent acellular tissue matrix material with the acidification-treated hydrogel-like acellular tissue matrix particles, followed by injection-molding, freezing treatment, radiation treatment, and ultimately preparing a porous cell growth scaffold that can be stored at room temperature. The prepared cell growth scaffold is a porous cell growth scaffold that has no chemical crosslinking, and has a biological activity, a stable three-dimensional structure and a structural memory feature. The cell growth scaffold has an excellent biocompatibility and complete biodegradability, and supports the growth of cells and the growth of tissues and organs in vitro and in vivo, thereby being suitable for repair of human soft tissue traumas and defects.

Transglutaminase treated products

The present application relates to use of transglutaminases to treat various products, including medical devices such as tissue grafts, tissue matrices or other tissue-derived materials, and synthetics. The transglutaminases can be applied to the medical devices to provide advantages such as adhesion resistance or abrasion resistance.
