AIR CONDITIONER CONNECTION SYSTEM
An air conditioner connection system includes an air conditioner having a first device connected via a power line in a communication-capable manner, and a second device capable of performing radio communication with the air conditioner. The air conditioner includes an authentication process control unit that controls the first device to perform an authentication process when a starting request of the authentication process for performing power carrier communication is received from the second device, the first device includes an authentication process unit that performs the authentication process under the control of the air conditioner, and the second device includes an authentication start process unit that transmits the starting request of the authentication process to the air conditioner.
PERIMETER ENCRYPTION
Encryption keys for an enterprise are stored at a perimeter device such as a gateway, and rules are applied at the network perimeter to control whether and how these keys are used for cryptographic processing of communications passing through the perimeter device. The encrypted status of communications, e.g. whether and how files are encrypted with the encryption keys, may also be used to assist in selecting appropriate security handling and routing of the communications.
MOBILE DEVICE POLICY ENFORCEMENT
In general, in one aspect, a method includes receiving software code with an invalid characteristic, repeatedly attempting to execute the software code with the invalid characteristic on a device, and in response to successful execution of the software code with the invalid characteristic, taking an action. The action may include an action to remediate the device.
Multivariate Signature Method for Resisting Key Recovery Attack
A multivariate signature method for resisting key recovery attack, which establishes a new signature verification condition by adding additional value of signature. The verification condition implies verification of internal information x and y, thereby effectively resisting key recovery attack generated by the existence of equivalence key. Specifically, the method includes the three stages of data preprocessing, signature generation and signature verification. The invention is a signature authentication method based on polynomial equations of a plurality of variables in a finite field, which can effectively resist the key recovery attack, provide the basic technical support for the information security and the establishment of the trust system in the quantum computer era, and provide a secure digital signature option in the quantum era. The present invention is especially suitable for use under application condition which has limited storage and processing time, such as smart cards, wireless sensor networks and dynamic RFID tags.
SYSTEM AND METHODS FOR OPPORTUNISTIC CRYPTOGRAPHIC KEY MANAGEMENT ON AN ELECTRONIC DEVICE
A system and method for opportunistic cryptographic key management includes generating a security capability assessment on a first electronic device based on security capabilities of the device, selecting a key management mode based on the security capability assessment, generating a cryptographic key based on the key management mode, and storing the cryptographic key based on the key management mode.
PARALLEL AND HIERARCHICAL PASSWORD PROTECTION ON SPECIFIC DOCUMENT SECTIONS
The present disclosure involves systems and computer implemented methods for protecting portions of electronic documents. An example method includes receiving a request for access to an electronic file having sections, at least one section encrypted using a first key based on a first password. A second key is generated in response to receiving a second password, wherein the second key is generated based on the second password. The second key is compared to the first key. If the second key is identical to the first key, the least one section of the electronic file encrypted using the first key is decrypted using the second key. The electronic file is then presented such that the section(s) previously encrypted using the first cryptographic key is made visible. If the second key is not identical to the first, the electronic file is presented with the encrypted section(s) obscured.
METHOD FOR KEY ROTATION
A method for key rotation includes initiating key rotation for a user account of a multi-factor authentication platform enabling one-time password authentication using a first symmetric cryptographic key; generating, at an authenticating device, a second symmetric cryptographic key; transmitting, at the authenticating device, the second symmetric cryptographic key to the multi-factor authentication platform; configuring the multi-factor authentication platform and the authenticating device to disable authentication that uses the first symmetric cryptographic key; and configuring the multi-factor authentication platform and the authenticating device to enable authentication that uses the second symmetric cryptographic key.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR ENCRYPTING AND DECRYPTING PICTURE, AND DEVICE
The present disclosure relates to the field of computer technologies and it discloses a method for encrypting a picture performed at a sending device, the method including: obtaining, by a sending device raw data of a to-be-encrypted picture, a first key, a second key, and location information that is used for adding disturbance data to the raw data; generating the disturbance data, and adding the disturbance data to the raw data according to the location information, to obtain first data; encrypting the first data by using the first key, to obtain the second data, and encrypting the first key and the length of the disturbance data by using the second key, to obtain first encrypted data; and sending the second data, the first encrypted data, and the second key to a receiving device.
METHOD FOR PERFORMING MULTIPLE ENROLLMENTS OF A PHYSICALLY UNCLONEABLE FUNCTION
A data processing system having a PUF and method for providing multiple enrollments, or instantiations, of the PUF are provided. A PUF segment includes a plurality of SRAM cells on an integrated circuit. A PUF response from the PUF segment is used to create a first activation code and a first PUF key. A second PUF key may be created from the PUF response. Initially, during a second enrollment, the PUF response is combined with the first activation code to reproduce a codeword. The first secret string is reconstructed by encoding the codeword. The codeword is combined with the first activation code to reproduce the PUF response. Inverse anti-aging is applied to the PUF response. Then a second secret string is generated using a random number generator (RNG). The second secret string is encoded to produce a new codeword. The new codeword is combined with the recovered PUF response to create a second activation code. The second activation coded is hashed with the second secret string to provide a second PUF key.
