Electric vehicle charger and related methods
An electric vehicle charger includes a power supply and a controller. The power supply is for supplying electric power over a charging connection to an electric vehicle. The charging connection employs charging conductors to supply electric power from the power supply to the electric vehicle for charging. The power supply is adapted to send data to and receive data from the electric vehicle over the charging conductors according to a power-line communications protocol. The controller coupled to the power supply to control supply of electric power to the electric vehicle, The controller is adapted to, prior to initiating supply of electric power by the power supply to the electric vehicle for charging, communicate with the electric vehicle to identify a payment method associated with the electric vehicle and with the payment network to authorize the payment method for payment for electric power supplied to the electric vehicle for charging.
Encoding a key touch on a device
A method, system, and computer program product for encoding a key touch on a device. The method may include detecting a key touch at one of two of more subareas of a key area and encoding the detected key touch into one code of a plurality of codes. Each code may be associated with one key area and one subarea of the key area. The method may perform an operation to determine whether to authorize access to a resource by determining whether the code, at least in part, authorizes the access. The key area may be marked with an indicia. The two or more subareas of the key area may be unmarked and may be of equal size. The key area may be divided into the two or more subareas by specifying two or more subregions of sensor pixels of a region of sensor pixels of a touch-sensitive screen.
Secure analytics using homomorphic and injective format-preserving encryption
Secure analytics using homomorphic and injective format-preserving encryption are disclosed herein. An example method includes encoding an analytic parameter set using a homomorphic encryption scheme as a set of homomorphic analytic vectors; transmitting the set of homomorphic analytic vectors to a server system; and receiving a homomorphic encrypted result from the server system, the server system having utilized the homomorphic encryption scheme and a first injective, format-preserving encryption scheme to evaluate the set of homomorphic analytic vectors over a datasource.
Selective encryption of profile fields for multiple consumers
The disclosed embodiments relate to a system that provides a selective encryption technique that encrypts all of the fields in a profile, and selectively enables consumers of the profile information to decrypt specific fields in the profiles. This is accomplished by encrypting each field in the profile using a randomly generated symmetric key, and then encrypting the symmetric key for each field with public keys belonging to individuals who are authorized to access each field. These encrypted public keys are stored in a header of the profile to enable individuals to use their corresponding private keys to decrypt symmetric keys for the specific fields that they are authorized to access.
Method and apparatus for enabling public key infrastructure in the generic cloud environment and the network function
Methods, systems, and devices for enabling public key infrastructure (PKI) in the generic could environment and the network function virtualization (NFV) environment. A host device may receive, from an orchestrator of a computer network environment, an indication of a workload to be executed by a virtual machine (VM) hosted on the host device, where the indication includes an identifier of the workload. The VM may transmit a request for a certificate to a hardware security module associated with the host device including the identifier of the workload. After transmitting the request for the certificate, the VM may receive the requested certificate from the HSM. In some cases, the VM may determine a private key associated with the workload and include the private key within the request for the certificate. Additionally or alternatively, the HSM may determine the private key. Here, the HSM may include the private key within the certificate.
Secure communication for remote devices
A security system that provides for secure communication from a remote system operating on an unsecure network without the need for encrypting the packets related to the communication. The packets for the communications are sent over the network in clear text, which are readable by any systems on the network, however, only the systems that are authorized are able to determine what packets are the correct packets and what packets are the imitation packets. Moreover, a remote secure network may be utilized such that any system operating on an unsecure network may send packets through the remote secure network in a randomized routing in order to aid in hiding the systems sending and receiving the packets and the relays through which the packets are being sent.
Scalable certificate revocation truth distribution and verification using a bloom filter set and a false positive set for PKI-based IoT scenarios
A first IoT device includes a memory, a transceiver, bloom filter evaluation, false positive comparison and control modules. The memory stores: a bloom filter set including an array of bits representing entries in a certificate revocation list; and a false positive set including a list of certificate entries falsely identified as being revoked. The transceiver receives from a second IoT device a message including a certificate. The bloom filter evaluation module receives the bloom filter set from a back office station and determines whether an identifier associated with the certificate is in the bloom filter set. The false positive comparison module receives the false positive set from the back office station and determines whether the identifier is in the false positive set. The control module permits communication between the first and second IoT devices based on whether the identifier is in the bloom filter and false positive sets.
Method and system to facilitate assessment, authorization, and monitoring of policy documents related to an organization
A method for facilitating assessment, authorization, and monitoring of policy documents in organizations for cyber security. The method includes a process of receiving indications of policy documents related to an organization from a user, thus, allowing the user to manager cyber security controls of written policy documents in accordance with regulations and standards. The method also includes retrieving regulations from external databases. Further, the method includes analysis of policy documents against regulations and generating insights. Subsequently, the method transmits the generated insights and/or reports to the user. Further, the method includes receiving monitoring data related to the organization from one or more user's PC devices. Further, the method uses a MD5 (Message Digest algorithm 5) hashing function to ensure that a document has not been tampered with and may include a time-based trigger utilizing a standard green/yellow/red light chart for ongoing authorizations and monitoring.
Method and system for state associated device identification for digital payments using blockchain technology
A method for maintaining state and event information for all of a user's devices associated in a common location using a blockchain where each block includes an event block and a device block within it, where each event and device block refers to an earlier block of the respective type, resulting in a blockchain-in-a-blockchain architecture. The device and event blocks store data regarding each device associated with a user and events related to the devices/user, respectively. Any time a new event occurs, or a device is registered or removed, a new set of blocks is created, where submissions regarding device changes or events can be made by any participant due to the decentralized and public nature of a blockchain. The result is a system where all data regarding a user's registered devices and events is kept in a common location in a manner that is auditable and verifiable.
Selectivity in privacy and verification with applications
The present description relates to systems and techniques for allowing a third party verifier to verify aspects of secured data, or successful communication thereof. For example, a message or other data may be associated with a shared manifest that describes aspects of some data but does not reveal or expose the data. As a result, the data may be kept private while selective privacy and verification with respect to the data is achieved by the inclusion of only selected aspects of said data in the shared manifest.
