Decoder Ring
This is a particular style of decoder ring. It is based on a spinner ring that is worn on the finger. It has a band that spins, and a small window cut out of that band. The window allows characters on the surface below to be read one at a time as the window passes over them.
Acoustic detector for solid medium with wireless transmission
An example acoustic detector includes an acoustic transducer, an analog-to-digital converter, an encryption module, and a wireless communication interface. The acoustic transducer is to be coupled to a solid medium and is configured to generate an electrical signal in response to acoustic waves propagating through the solid medium. The analog-to-digital converter is coupled to the acoustic transducer to convert the electrical signal into digital acoustic data. The encryption module is coupled to encrypt the digital acoustic data to generate encrypted acoustic data and the wireless communication interface is coupled to transmit the encrypted acoustic data via one or more radio access technologies (RATs).

Rotor movement control and rotor wiring for rotor-based encryption machines and electronic equivalents
A cryptographic system having a plurality of rotors or electronic equivalents using displacement tables. A rotor movement controller, in accordance with a rotor selection value, selectively moves one or more of the rotors or the electronic equivalent of the rotors for each data input value. Contiguous rotor selection values have a triangle or sawtooth shape. A key-driven displacement look-up table randomizes the selection values. The rotor wirings or displacement tables each have N displacement values. The N displacement values are one to N−1 inclusive once and N/2 twice and arranged in a sequence that forms a single loop. Additionally, the N displacement values may be arranged in a sequence that is self-reciprocal so that no change in the rotors or displacement tables is needed whether encrypting or decrypting except for selectively adding a factor of N/2 when indexing the displacement tables or setting the initial position of the rotors.

RETROACTIVELY ADDING ENCRYPTION AND/OR AUTHENTICATION LEVELS TO A BLOCKCHAIN
A request to retroactively add one or more of an encryption level, an encryption type, a security level, and an authentication level to an existing blockchain is received. An authentication/encryption block is added to the existing blockchain. The authentication/encryption block comprises the one or more of the encryption level, the encryption type, the security level, and the authentication level. Based on the added authentication/encryption block in the existing blockchain, the one or more of the encryption level, the encryption type, the security level, and the authentication level are retroactively applied to at least a portion of blockchain data in the existing blockchain. In one embodiment, a data structure is used in place of the authentication/encryption block.
Selection of Validators in Decentralized Cryptographic Network
Techniques are disclosed relating to selection of miners/validators in a decentralized cryptographic network. In some embodiments, a request to add a transaction to a blockchain includes a cryptographic signature associated with provision of a second transfer fee, in addition to a first transfer fee, to miners/validators who meet a set of one or more criteria. Disclosed techniques may advantageously allow steering of blockchain requests to a desired subset of miners/validators.
Blockchain Rideshare Data Aggregator Solution
Systems and methods are described for generating transactions based upon rideshare data and updating a distributed ledger. The method may include (1) identifying one or more rideshare companies for which a user offers driving services during a time period; (2) for each of the one or more rideshare companies, identifying a phase of a rideshare trip in which the user is providing driving services for the identified one or more rideshare companies during the time period; (3) determining rideshare data; (4) generating a transaction including a representation of the rideshare data; and/or (5) transmitting the transaction to at least one other participant of the plurality of participants maintaining the distributed ledger. The rideshare data from the distributed ledger for the user may be used to calculate a level of risk when the user is providing ride services.
Portable data stack holder
A data storage device includes a plurality of tiles whose faces are marked with characters. An elongated core is configured to enable slots of the tiles to fit over an openable end of the core to mount the tiles on the core with the marked faces aligned and to slide along the core. The length of the core is sufficient such that tiles of a mounted stack of tiles are slidable away from other tiles of the stack to form a gap that is sufficient to enable reading the character on the tile. A locking element is placeable on the openable end to prevent removal of tiles from the stack, and removable to enable addition of tiles or removal of tiles. A casing is closable over the core and includes a limiting structure to limit sliding of the tiles when the casing is closed.
