Application directory for a multi-user computer system environment

A computer implemented method of developing computer applications, the method comprising providing to multiple users access, over a network, to information on a data center, with a subgroup of the users having access to a sub-portion of the information that is different from the sub-portion accessible by the remaining tenants of the subgroup; and communicating wide the data center over the network employing a computer system associated with a user of the sub-group to establish application functionality with the sub-portion that may be accessed, over the network, by additional parties authorized by the user. Also disclosed is a machine-readable medium and a data center, both of which facilitate carrying-out the steps of the method.

FULL SERVER-LEVEL REDUNDANCY USING A SINGLE NETWORK INTERFACE CONTROLLER(NIC) AND A SINGLE NIC CARD
20200177525 · 2020-06-04 ·

Systems and methods for providing full redundancy in a computing network using a single network interface controller (NIC) and a single NIC card within one or more computing devices (e.g., servers) are provided. Embodiments of the technology disclosed herein provide a NIC card with a processing device (e.g., a field-programmable gate array (FPGA)) having a first set of input pins associated with a primary network switch and a second set of input pins associated with a standby network switch. When a failure occurs on the primary network switch, the processing device of the NIC card is configured to perform a circuit switch action to switch the connection between a processing device output from the first set of input pins to the second set of input pins. Accordingly, the same NIC is capable of controlling the network interface of a computing device between to different network switches.

Communication network, associated measuring system, means of transport and method for constructing a communication network

This communication network (18) extends between a plurality of input blocks (E.sub.1, . . . , E.sub.N1) including a predetermined number P1 of input ports, multiple of the number N1 of input blocks, and a plurality of output blocks (S.sub.1, . . . , S.sub.N2), each output block including a number P2 of output ports (Z1, . . . , Z.sub.P2) greater than or equal to the predetermined number of input ports. In this network, when the number P1 of input ports is even, the number N3 of switches is equal to: N 3 = N 1 P 1 2 ,
and when the number P1 is odd, the number N3 of switches is equal to: N 3 = N 1 P 1 P 1 2 - 1 2 ,
and, for each switch, the first (30) and second (32) input terminals are each connected to different input blocks and the first (34) and second (36) output terminals are each connected to different output blocks.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR EXPORTING, PUBLISHING, BROWSING AND INSTALLING ON-DEMAND APPLICATIONS IN A MULTI-TENANT DATABASE ENVIRONMENT

In accordance with embodiments, there are provided mechanisms and methods for creating, exporting, viewing and testing, and importing custom applications in a multitenant database environment. These mechanisms and methods can enable embodiments to provide a vehicle for sharing applications across organizational boundaries. The ability to share applications across organizational boundaries can enable tenants in a multi-tenant database system, for example, to easily and efficiently import and export, and thus share, applications with other tenants in the multi-tenant environment.

Jointly managed access point transmit power control

Previously available network monitoring and management systems fail to provide adequate transmit power control in WiFi networks having multiple neighboring wireless access points. By contrast, various implementations disclosed herein include systems, methods and apparatuses that generate an interference map based at least on co-channel interference reported in a number of neighbor lists, wherein each of the neighbor lists is associated with a respective one of a plurality of compliant wireless access points included in one of a local area network (LAN) and a portion of a virtual LAN (VLAN); and determine a respective transmit power adjustment for each of the plurality of compliant wireless access points included in the interference map based on at least one interference criterion characterizing the interference on each of the plurality of compliant wireless access points included in the interference map and respective neighboring wireless access points.

Assignment and handover in a radio communication network

Systems and methods related to performing an assignment and a handover in a radio communication network are provided. In one exemplary embodiment, a method performed by a Mobile Switching Center (MSC) of a radio communication network may include seizing resources for a Time Division Multiplexed (TDM) bearer and an Internet Protocol (IP) bearer for use on a terrestrial A-interface of the radio communication network for an activity to be performed by a target Base Station Controller (BSC) of the radio communication network. Further, the method may include sending, to the target BSC, an indication that requests the activity be performed by the target BSC and that also identifies the seized resources for the TDM bearer and the IP bearer for use on the terrestrial A-interface for the activity.

System and method for real-time load balancing of network packets
10637771 · 2020-04-28 · ·

Internet protocol packets are statelessly identified as associated with a particular session-instance by identifying a key, or session-instance identifier, within the data (or payload) portion of a user plane packet. This identifier is specific to the session-instance and remains constant throughout the session-instance. Using this stateless identification, transmitted user plane packets are automatically routed at the transmission speed of the transmission link using a method that automatically balances the analysis processing load between network probes. The load is balanced by routing the user plane packet to a network probe that is either already analyzing the session-instance or by routing the user plane packet to a system that has processing capacity to analyze a new session-instance. The network probe then analyzes the user plane packet and the session-instance to measure the quality of the user experience of the session-instance and performance of the network.
