Methods and systems for utilizing ideal taps in coaxial networks
An ideal tap may have a plurality of ports that include at least an input port configured for receiving downstream (DS) signals from and transmitting upstream (US) signals to nodes upstream from the tap within the coaxial network, and one or more other ports that comprise at least one of an output port configured for transmitting downstream (DS) signals to and receiving upstream (US) signals from nodes downstream from the tap within the coaxial network, and a drop port for receiving signal from and transmitting signals to customer premise equipment (CPE) in the coaxial network. The ideal tap may further include processing circuits for handling signals received and transmitted via the tap, with the one or more processing circuits being configured to meet particular predefined tap performance criteria, and to specifically apply, during handling of signals in the tap, frequency shifting based on one or more frequency spectrum shift conditions.
Control wavelet for accelerated deep learning
Techniques in advanced deep learning provide improvements in one or more of accuracy, performance, and energy efficiency. An array of processing elements performs flow based computations on wavelets of data. Each processing element has a compute element and a routing element. Each compute element has memory. Each router enables communication via wavelets with nearest neighbors in a 2D mesh. A compute element receives a wavelet. If a control specifier of the wavelet is a first value, then instructions are read from the memory of the compute element in accordance with an index specifier of the wavelet. If the control specifier is a second value, then instructions are read from the memory of the compute element in accordance with a virtual channel specifier of the wavelet. Then the compute element initiates execution of the instructions.
High bandwidth core to network-on-chip interface
An apparatus includes a first port set that includes an input port and an output port. The apparatus further includes a plurality of second port sets. Each of the second port sets includes an input port coupled to the output port of the first port set and an output port coupled to the input port of the first port set. The plurality of second port sets are to each communicate at a first maximum bandwidth and the first port set is to communicate at a second maximum bandwidth that is higher than the first maximum bandwidth.
High bandwidth core to network-on-chip interface
An apparatus includes a first port set that includes an input port and an output port. The apparatus further includes a plurality of second port sets. Each of the second port sets includes an input port coupled to the output port of the first port set and an output port coupled to the input port of the first port set. The plurality of second port sets are to each communicate at a first maximum bandwidth and the first port set is to communicate at a second maximum bandwidth that is higher than the first maximum bandwidth.
Steering network traffic over multiple access networks
Disclosed are systems and methods for steering network traffic over different access networks based on a classification of the network traffic. A first access network provides a first network path between a client device and a destination network and a second access network provides a second network path between the client device and the destination network. The access networks have different characteristics, such as latency or available bandwidth. A traffic classifier receives network messages and assigns classifications to the received network messages. A policy enforcer determines routes for individual network messages. The determined route is based at least in part on the classification assigned by the traffic classifier.
Storage cluster address resolution
A method of address resolution broadcasting in a networked device is provided. The method includes receiving, at a switch fabric of the networked device, an address resolution request from one of a plurality of nodes of the networked device and substituting, as a source address, a cluster MAC address for a MAC address of the one of the plurality of nodes in the address resolution request. The method includes sending the address resolution request over a network and receiving, at the switch fabric, an address resolution reply over the network. The method includes substituting, as a destination address, an address for transmission to each of the plurality of nodes for the cluster MAC address in the address resolution reply, and transmitting the address resolution reply to the plurality of nodes.
Supporting bridge managed objects
An apparatus includes at least one processor and at least one memory storing computer program code. The memory and the computer program code are configured, with the processor, to cause the apparatus to perform operating as a bridge in a time sensitive network system and providing functionality for assisting exchange of information of bridge managed objects between the apparatus and the time sensitive network system.

A data center includes: a server including a control plane; a data plane that is configured to receive network connection information from the control plane; and a storage group including a plurality of first storage devices. The data plane may be configured to set connections between the server and the plurality of first storage devices based on the network connection information corresponding to each first storage device of the plurality of first storage devices.
On-demand access to compute resources
Disclosed are systems, methods and computer-readable media for controlling and managing the identification and provisioning of resources within an on-demand center as well as the transfer of workload to the provisioned resources. One aspect involves creating a virtual private cluster within the on-demand center for the particular workload from a local environment. A method of managing resources between a local compute environment and an on-demand environment includes detecting an event associated with a local compute environment and based on the detected event, identifying information about the local environment, establishing communication with an on-demand compute environment and transmitting the information about the local environment to the on-demand compute environment, provisioning resources within the on-demand compute environment to substantially duplicate the local environment and transferring workload from the local-environment to the on-demand compute environment. The event can be a threshold or a triggering event within or outside of the local environment.
