SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PROVIDING DATA SERVICES ON VEHICLES

Devices, systems, methods and computer-readable media are provided for data communication to and from a vehicle. A device is provided that includes memory storing processor-executable instructions; and at least one processor in communication with the memory that executes the stored instructions to: receive, from at least one user on the vehicle, at least one request for data communication; identify a plurality of communication links available at a current location of the moving vehicle; form an adaptive bonded communication link using the plurality of communication links to aggregate throughput across the plurality of communication links for the requested data communication, wherein the adaptive bonded communication link is configured to adapt to data communication requirements for the requested data communication and to data communication characteristics of the plurality of communication links as the vehicle moves. Corresponding methods, computer system products, uses, and computer-readable media are also provided.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR ASSESSING VIEWER ENGAGEMENT

A system and method for quantifying viewer engagement with a video playing on a display in a respondent household includes an agreed upon camera arrangement to monitor viewer engagement. The system and method includes the ability to determine what sources of content are being accessed by the household, and other data such as time of viewing, and source of content.

Interfacing modules of a munition to a standard munition network

A technique of managing communications among multiple modules of a munition includes receiving, by a first module of the munition, a first set of messages from a second module of the munition. The first set of messages is received in a first protocol used for communicating among the modules of the munition over a computer network. The technique further includes translating, by an interface assembly of the first module, the first set of messages in the first protocol into a second set of messages in a second protocol. The second protocol is a native protocol of the first module and is different from the first protocol. The technique still further includes providing the second set of messages from the interface module to an operational component of the first module, the operational component then responding to the second set of messages for performing a function of the munition.

MULTI-LEVEL VIDEO PROCESSING WITHIN A VEHICULAR COMMUNICATION NETWORK

A system for controlling power distribution within a vehicular communication network, including a power source equipment comprising a first port in communication with a network node module of a device, and a Power over Ethernet (POE) management module. The POE management module is configured to enable POE to the device via the first port, monitor a current draw of the device, determine whether the current draw of the device exceeds a threshold, and disable POE to the device, responsive to determining that the current draw exceeds the threshold.

DEVICES AND METHODS FOR MULTIPATH COMMUNICATIONS
20220394124 · 2022-12-08 · ·

Broadband communications devices and methods operate with at least two separate communication paths between the devices and the network, such as the Internet. The broadband devices and methods receive data concurrently over the communication paths or separately. The bandwidth is increased when the separate communication paths are combined. The broadband devices employ packetized data with Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) technologies combined with RF communications technologies.

On-demand access to compute resources

Disclosed are systems, methods and computer-readable media for controlling and managing the identification and provisioning of resources within an on-demand center as well as the transfer of workload to the provisioned resources. One aspect involves creating a virtual private cluster within the on-demand center for the particular workload from a local environment. A method of managing resources between a local compute environment and an on-demand environment includes detecting an event associated with a local compute environment and based on the detected event, identifying information about the local environment, establishing communication with an on-demand compute environment and transmitting the information about the local environment to the on-demand compute environment, provisioning resources within the on-demand compute environment to substantially duplicate the local environment and transferring workload from the local-environment to the on-demand compute environment. The event can be a threshold or a triggering event within or outside of the local environment.

Executing streaming data writes without duplication or loss

Implementations are provided herein for executive streaming data writes without duplication or loss. A client application and a pravega node can work to track where write data is, how much data has been written, and what specific data has been acknowledged by the pravega node as successfully written. In the event of an error or connection disruption, the client application can reconnect and determine how much data has been written and resend what data still needs to be written. The data can be written exactly once, and once written and acknowledged, will no longer be subject to data loss.

NETWORK SERVICE INTEGRATION INTO A NETWORK FABRIC OF A DATA CENTER

Top-of-rack (TOR) switches are connected to a network fabric of a data center. Each TOR switch corresponds to a rack of the data center, and is configured to provide access to the network fabric for computing devices mounted in the rack. In one method, a client device of a user is used to select various network service options. The service options correspond to services that can be provided to computing equipment of the user that is mounted in various racks of the data center. In response to receiving the selection of one or more service options, the network fabric of the data center is configured to connect the computing equipment to the selected services. In one approach, the network fabric is configured by creating and/or configuring one or more virtual networks to provide the connection to the services.

Multipath traffic management

One embodiment provides an apparatus. The apparatus includes client traffic management (CTM) logic. The CTM logic is to trigger implementation of a selected network traffic flow related to the client device, the triggering based, at least in part, on a network traffic flow related to the client device. The network traffic flow is associated with a connection and includes at least one subflow. Each subflow is carried by a respective path associated with the connection. The triggering includes at least one of constraining and/or adjusting an allowable throughput at a service provider for one or more of the at least one subflow. The selected traffic policy is to be implemented in a transport layer.

METHODS AND APPARATUS FOR DETECTING INTERNET CONNECTION PROBLEMS

A method of determining a problem with data packet transmission speed over a first communication medium coupled between a plurality of content servers and an ISP communication device. The method comprises repeatedly measuring the data packet transmission speed over the first communication medium coupled between each of the plurality of content servers and the ISP communication device, and determining there is a problem with the data packet transmission speed over the first communication medium coupled between one of the plurality of content servers and the ISP communication device when the repeatedly measured data packet transmission speeds over the first communication medium coupled between the one of the plurality of content servers and the ISP communication device is substantially different from the repeatedly measured data packet transmission speeds over the first communication medium coupled between other of the plurality of content servers and the ISP communication device.
