HUMAN NIPPLE AREOLAR COMPLEX EXTRACELLULAR MATRIX SCAFFOLD AND METHODS RELATING THERETO
20180177917 · 2018-06-28 · ·

Methods of producing and methods of treatment using a nipple areolar complex extracellular matrix. A method for processing tissue comprises harvesting a human nipple areolar complex tissue, treating the tissue with a stabilizing medium, wherein the medium stabilizes the tissue during transport, decellularizing the tissue, and sterilizing the tissue to form a human nipple areolar complex extracellular matrix scaffold (ECMS). A method of treating an individual with a need for a nipple reconstruction comprises forming an ECMS and applying the ECMS to the individual for nipple areolar regeneration.

DECELLULARIZED ORGAN-DERIVED TISSUE ENGINEERING SCAFFOLDS

The presently disclosed subject matter provides for decellularized extracellular matrix (dECM) compositions for reconstructing mucosal tissue of trachea and methods of using the same. In certain embodiments, the composition can be a pre-gel containing dECM derived from tracheal mucosal tissue; a hydrogel obtained by gelling the pre-gel; or a vitrified membrane obtained by drying the hydrogel.

Methods of using compressible tubes for placing implants

Medical delivery devices include a needle and a flexible compressible impermeable tube attached to the needle. The compressible tube has an open interior channel. The device is adapted to releasably hold a length of a medical implant in the open interior channel of the tube. The medical implant can be slidably inserted into the interior channel of the tube and is loosely held by the tube.

COLLAGEN BASED MATERIALS AND METHODS OF USING THEM

Certain configurations of adhesive materials are described which comprise a crosslinked derivatized atelocollagen. In some configurations, the crosslinked, derivatized atelocollagen is cured to provide a burst strength of at least 55 kPa or 60 kPa (or more) as tested by ASTM F2392-04. In some instances, the crosslinked derivatized atelocollagen comprises a methylated atelocollagen that is crosslinked using one or more functionalized crosslinking agents.
