DIGITAL BASEBAND TRANSPORT IN TELECOMMUNICATIONS DISTRIBUTION SYSTEMS
A head end unit of a distributed antenna system includes circuitry configured to: receive downlink signals from at least one base station; process the downlink signals into downlink channelized digital baseband signals at the head end unit by at least one of mixing, decimating, and filtering the downlink channelized digital baseband signals including call information for wireless communication; format the downlink channelized digital baseband signals for transport together; packetize and packet schedule the downlink channelized digital baseband signals into downlink packetized baseband signals at the head end unit; and transmit the downlink packetized baseband signals from the head end unit to remotely located units of the distributed antenna system.
Transmission of probabilistically shaped amplitudes using partially anti-symmetric amplitude labels
A communication system in which a constellation employing partially anti-symmetric amplitude labels is used to transmit probabilistically shaped amplitudes such that said amplitudes are also used to determine the signs applied thereto for transmission. In an example embodiment, a data transmitter is configured to use a suitable logic function (e.g., an XOR function) to place the parity generated by an FEC code into a selected amplitude bit while using the partially anti-symmetric amplitude labels to avoid placing the parity into the sign bits of the transmitted constellation symbols. In some embodiments, the FEC code can be a low-density parity-check code. Some embodiments are compatible with layered FEC coding, e.g., employing an outer FEC code and an inner FEC code. In some embodiments, FEC coding may be optional. Some embodiments can advantageously be used in communication systems relying on DMT modulation, such as the systems providing DSL access over copper wiring.
SIGNAL PROCESSING APPARATUS AND TOUCH DISPLAY APPARATUS THEREOF
A signal processing apparatus includes a first signal processing circuit and the second signal processing circuit. The first signal processing circuit receives a first signal. The first signal processing circuit has a power end connecting to a first voltage and a reference ground end. The second signal processing circuit receives a second signal. The second signal processing circuit has a power end which is electrically coupled to the reference ground end of the first signal processing circuit or equals the reference ground end of the first signal processing circuit. The second signal processing circuit has a reference ground end connecting to a second voltage.
TOUCH ANALOG FRONT-END CIRCUIT AND TOUCH DISPLAY APPARATUS THEREOF
A touch analog front-end circuit includes a current conveyor and an accumulator. The current conveyor receives a first voltage as an operation voltage, and generates a current signal according to a touch sensing signal received from a touch display panel. The accumulator is coupled to the current conveyor, receives a second voltage as an operation voltage, and generates an accumulating result according to the current signal and a reference voltage. The first voltage is higher than the second voltage.
Transmitter with fully re-assignable segments for reconfigurable FFE taps
Methods and systems of performing feed forward equalization (FFE) on data streams are described. A circuitry may generate staggered data streams from data streams of an input signal. The staggered data streams may include data in staggered unit intervals. The circuitry may include a plurality of segments. A segment may define a specific unit interval to carve the staggered data streams into one unit interval pulses positioned at the specific unit interval. The specific unit interval to carve the staggered data streams may indicate an assignment of the segment as one of a FFE pre tap, a FFE main tap, and a FFE post tap. The plurality of segments may be assigned to different FFE taps based on different clock signal selection defining different unit intervals to perform the carving. The plurality of segments may output respective one unit interval pulses to reproduce the input signal.
Antenna assembly for a vehicle
An antenna assembly comprising a base, a modem, a top lid and a housing is disclosed herein. The base is composed of an aluminum material. The modem is disposed on the base. The top lid is for the base, and the top lid comprises at least one antenna element disposed on an exterior surface. The housing covers the top lid and base. The top lid acts as an electro-magnetic barrier for the modem. A communication cable is connected to the modem at one end and extending to and connected to a vehicle internal router with a vehicle modem at the other end.
SELF-TUNING N-PATH FILTER
A radio frequency (RF) filter includes a signal conditioning circuit and a bandstop filter. The signal conditioning circuit receives a broadband RF signal that includes both a jamming signal at a jamming frequency and a signal of interest and generates a plurality of clock signals. Each of the plurality of clock signals has a substantially same frequency as the jamming frequency, but a different phase shift. The bandstop filter receives the RF signal and the plurality of clock signals. The bandstop filter attenuates signals within a bandstop centered at the frequency of the plurality of clock signals. A self-tuning N-path filter is provided.
AUDIO AND LIGHTING CONTROL VIA A COMMUNICATION BUS
Disclosed herein are systems and techniques for audio and lighting control in a bus system. For example, in some embodiments, a bus system may be configured for operation as a light organ and/or to generate sound effects based on accelerometer data.
Inventory tracking in cable TV system
A system, method, and/or apparatus may track an intermediary device within a communications system. For example, a first signal may be transmitted from a first device in a communications system to the intermediary device in the communications system. The first signal from the first device may be modified (e.g., by a passive component of the intermediary device) to create a modified signal. The modified signal may be passed by the intermediary device to a second device in the communications system. The second device may be upstream or downstream from the first device and the intermediary device in the communications system. A type for the intermediary device may be determined based on the modification to the first signal. The second device may be configured to determine an identify of the first device associated with the intermediary device.
Pre-amplifier for a modem
Technology for a pre-amplification system for a modem is disclosed. The pre-amplification system can include an uplink-downlink signal path communicatively coupled between a first modem port of the modem and a first donor antenna port. The pre-amplification system can include a downlink signal path communicatively coupled between a second modem port of the modem and a second donor antenna port. The downlink signal path can include a pre-amplifier configured to amplify a received downlink cellular signal to produce an amplified downlink cellular signal to be directed to the second modem port.
