An electronic device may include a processor and a network interface that may include a first radio and a second radio. The processor may be configured to perform wireless communication jamming attack detection by occasionally performing clear channel verification utilizing the network interface to determine whether a threshold number of devices' channels are incapacitated in a wireless network within a threshold amount of time and/or by sending a heartbeat signal from the first radio and determining whether the second radio received the heartbeat signal.

A network relay device of a gateway redundancy system is provided with: a storage unit which stores, as an internal status, a redundancy status indicating, for each subscriber terminal or for each subscriber terminal group, whether a subject device is operating as an active system or a backup system, and a subscriber status indicating a list of usage address information for each subscriber terminal; and a management unit which monitors communications between a set of subscriber terminals and another network relay device in which a redundant configuration is adopted, records in the storage unit, as a part of the subscriber status, the usage address information provided to the subscriber terminal by the other network relay device, and, with a prescribed timing, successively notifies/advertises the successively recorded internal status to a notification destination.
Method and System for Balancing Storage Data Traffic in Converged Networks
Methods for balancing storage data traffic in a system in which at least one computing device (server) coupled to a converged network accesses at least one storage device coupled (by at least one adapter) to the network, systems configured to perform such methods, and devices configured to implement such methods or for use in such systems. Typically, the system includes servers and adapters, and server agents implemented on the servers and adapter agents implemented on the adapters are configured to detect and respond to imbalances in storage and data traffic in the network, and to redirect the storage data traffic to reduce the imbalances and, thereby to improve the overall network performance (for both data communications and storage traffic). Typically, each agent operates autonomously (except in that an adapter agent may respond to a request or notification from a server agent), and no central computer or manager directs operation of the agents.
AUTO DISCOVERY AND AUTO SCALING OF SERVICES IN SOFTWARE-DEFINED NETWORK ENVIRONMENT
Techniques are described for automatic discovery of two or more virtual service instances configured to apply a given service to a packet in a software-defined networking (SDN)/network functions virtualization (NFV) environment. Virtual service instances may be deployed as virtual entities hosted on one or more physical devices to offer individual services or chains of services from a service provider. The use of virtual service instances enables automatic scaling of the services on-demand. The techniques of this disclosure enable automatic discovery by a gateway network device of virtual service instances for a given service as load balancing entities. According to the techniques, the gateway network device automatically updates a load balancing group for the given service to include the discovered virtual service instances on which to load balance traffic for the service. In this way, the disclosed techniques provide auto-scaling and auto-discovery of services in an SDN/NFV environment.
USING VIRTUAL NETWORKING DEVICES TO MANAGE ROUTING INFORMATION
Techniques are described for providing managed virtual computer networks that have a configured logical network topology with virtual networking devices, such as by a network-accessible configurable network service, with corresponding networking functionality provided for communications between multiple computing nodes of the virtual computer network by emulating functionality that would be provided by the virtual networking devices if they were physically present. In some situations, the networking functionality provided for a managed computer network of a client includes receiving routing communications directed to the virtual networking devices and using included routing cost information to update the configuration of the managed computer network, and/or includes determining actual cost information corresponding to use of an underlying substrate network and providing routing cost information to the client that reflects the determined actual cost information, so as to enable the client to modify the configuration of the managed computer network accordingly.

A method of calculating a new route for a media data traffic flow on a computer network when a device is connected to the network, the network comprising a first and a second network switch connected by a link, the method comprising: determining whether media data traffic already flows between the first and second network switch over the link; applying a weighting to the link whose value is based on whether media data traffic already flows over the link; and determining the new route for media data traffic by using a least cost path generation algorithm using the weighting.
Packet processing method and gateway device
A packet processing method and a gateway device are provided. The method includes: A first gateway device receives, by using a first link, a first one-arm BFD echo packet returned by a network device, where the first one-arm BFD echo packet includes identification information, and the identification information is used to uniquely identify a second gateway device. The first gateway device determines, based on the identification information, to forward the first one-arm BFD echo packet to the second gateway device. The first gateway device sends the first one-arm BFD echo packet to the second gateway device. The network device is multi-homed connected to the first gateway device and the second gateway device. The first gateway device and the second gateway device form a multi-active gateway. According to the method, efficiency of detecting, by using a one-arm BFD echo session in a VXLAN multi-active gateway scenario is improved.
DATA PROCESSING
A method of routing messages includes receiving a request message from an originating device to be forwarded to one of a plurality of target devices, the request message having a first network address as a source address identifying the originating device. The first network address of the request message is dynamically mapped to a second network address of a selected target device, and the first and second network addresses are stored in association with each other as address mapping information. The method also includes forwarding the selected target device using the second network address. The routing device receives from the target device an error message in relation to the request message, and identifies the originating device which originated the request message using the address mapping information and the second network address of the target device which issued the error message.
System and method for quality of service in a wireless network environment
On-demand quality of service guarantees are provided in a wireless network environment. The system determines an on-demand quality of service for a segment of a communication path between a user equipment communicating with a radio access network connected to a core network and an external network connected to the core network. The system then determines if the on-demand quality of service for the segment meets a quality of service requirement. If the on-demand quality of service for the segment does not meet the quality of service requirement, the system identifies an alternate communication path between the user equipment and the external network, wherein the alternate communication path differs from the communication path. The system can then setup the alternate communication path for traffic between the user equipment and the external network.

A method, an apparatus, an electronic device and a computer readable storage medium for adjusting an instance number are provided. The method includes: acquiring an actual performance index of a current time window; determining a theoretical instance number corresponding to the actual performance index; and in response to the theoretical instance number being greater than an instance creating upper limit of a current edge computing node, requesting another edge computing node having an instance addition capability to jointly create an instance of a total number equal to the theoretical instance number.
