Alleviating congestion in a virtual network deployed over public clouds for an entity
A method for deploying different virtual networks over several public cloud datacenters for different entities. For each entity, the method (1) identifies a set of public cloud datacenters of one or more public cloud providers to connect a set of machines of the entity, (2) deploys managed forwarding nodes (MFNs) for the entity in the identified set of public cloud datacenters, and then (3) configures the MFNs to implement a virtual network that connects the entity's set of machines across its identified set of public cloud datacenters. In some embodiments, the method identifies the set of public cloud datacenters for an entity by receiving input from the entity's network administrator. In some embodiments, this input specifies the public cloud providers to use and/or the public cloud regions in which the virtual network should be defined. Conjunctively, or alternatively, this input in some embodiments specifies actual public cloud datacenters to use.
Providing recommendations for implementing virtual networks
Some embodiments provide a novel method for deploying different virtual networks over several public cloud datacenters for different entities. Providing services at the edge of a network using selected virtual tunnel interfaces
For traffic exiting a logical network through a particular VTI, some embodiments perform a service classification operation for different data messages to identify different VTIs that connect the edge forwarding element to a service node to provide services required by the data messages. Each data message, in some embodiments, is then forwarded to the identified VTI to receive the required service. The identified VTI does not perform a service classification operation. The service node then returns the serviced data message to the edge forwarding element. In some embodiments, the identified VTI is not configured to perform the service classification operation and is instead configured to mark all traffic directed to the edge forwarding element as having been serviced. The marked serviced data message is received at the edge forwarding element and forwarded to a destination of the data message through the particular VTI.
ENCAPSULATED FICON COMMUNICATION
Using an alternative communication protocol between a first system and a second system that are otherwise configured to communicate using a FICON protocol includes the first system determining if the alternative communication protocol is handled by the second system, the first system providing encapsulated data by encapsulating FICON data if the alternative communication protocol is handled at the second system, and the first system transmitting the encapsulated data directly to the second system using the alternative communication protocol if the alternative communication protocol is handled at the second system. The alternative communication protocol may be TCP/IP. At least one of the systems is a host computing system, an array storage system, and/or a tape emulation system. At least one of the systems may be a simulation of a host computing system, an array storage system, and/or a tape emulation system.
AT LEAST ONE MECHANISM TO PERMIT, AT LEAST IN PART, ALLOCATION AND/OR CONFIGURATION, AT LEAST IN PART, OF AT LEAST ONE NETWORK-ASSOCIATED OBJECT
In an embodiment, at least one interface mechanism may be provided. The mechanism may permit, at least in part, at least one process allocate, at least in part, and/or configure, at least in part, at least one network-associated object. Such allocation and/or configuration, at least in part, may be in accordance with at least one parameter set that may correspond, at least in part, to at least one query issued by the at least one process via the mechanism. Many modifications are possible without departing from this embodiment.

Data processing method and apparatus
The present disclosure provides a method and a device for data processing. The method includes acquiring at least two pathways of communication messages, where the at least two pathways of communication messages are messages intercepted in a bypass manner from messages transmitted by a service processing system to an external system; and the service processing system does not execute logic of record storage; processing the at least two pathways of communication messages, and determining communication messages to-be-stored from the at least two pathways of communication messages processed; and according to the at least two pathways of communication messages, storing the communication messages to-be-stored in a database.
Runtime schema for services in a switch
One embodiment of the present invention provides a switch. During operation, the switch parses a first schema of the switch. The first schema indicates initialization information for one or more services of the switch expressed based on one or more tags. The switch then identifies a tag of the one or more tags in the first schema based on the parsing and identifies information corresponding to the tag from a profile of the switch. Subsequently, the switch generates a second schema from the first schema based on the identified information.

Using router as service node through logical service plane
Some embodiments facilitate the provision of a service reachable at a virtual internet protocol (VIP) address. The VIP address is used by clients to access a set of service nodes in the logical network. Facilitating the provision of the service, in some embodiments, includes returning a serviced data message to a load balancer that selected a service node to provide the service for the load balancer to track the state of the connection using the service logical forwarding element. To use the service logical forwarding element, some embodiments configure an egress datapath of the service nodes to intercept the serviced data message before being forwarded to a logical forwarding element in the datapath from the client to the service node, and determine if the serviced data message requires routing by the routing service provided as a service by the edge forwarding element.
