A communication system for providing a positive communication to an inmate is provided. The communication system includes memory that stores data, and an application server that analyzes data to determine topics that are important to the inmate. The application server includes a topic rating system to rate the topics based on importance to the inmate and based on an emotional tone used by the inmate during a communication. When the application server receives a question from the inmate, the application server searches the data and the Internet and responds based on the answer and the data stored in memory. The application server also provides support to the inmate by suggesting counseling services according to the needs of the inmate. Further, the communication system provides a positive influence to the inmate to encourage educational progression.

Disclosed is a chat initiating method, comprising: determining a first user account that accesses a shared document; obtaining a first identifier of a chat group inserted into the shared document; displaying, according to a state of whether the first user account has joint into the chat group, a group chat control corresponding to the state in the shared document, wherein the group chat control is used for joining the chat group or for displaying an interface of the chat group; and sending, in response to an operation on the group chat control, a corresponding group chat request.

A method for implementing chats that includes: providing a chat feature and chat interface on a webpage; providing two types of the chat resources for generating the text inputs of the chats, an automated chat resource type and a human chat resource type; providing a routing function that selectively routes incoming chats between the two types of the chat resources; providing a first selectable portion on the chat interface that, when selected by a customer, indicates a customer chat preference as to whether the customer prefers to chat with chat resources of the automated chat resource type or human chat resource type; receiving input from the customer device indicating that the customer selected the first selectable portion; determining from the received input the customer chat preference; and routing in accordance with the determined preference.

Methods, systems, and media for sending a message about a new video to a group of related users are provided. In accordance with some embodiments, the method comprises: determining that a new video associated with a content creator has been uploaded to a video sharing service; identifying a group of candidate users to receive a message indicating that the new video is available; identifying a sub-group of users within the group of candidate users based on relationships of users within the group to each other; determining a time to send the message; transmitting the message to the sub-group of users at the determined time; determining that the message has been selected by a user device associated with a user of the sub-group of users; and causing the new video to be presented in a user interface including a communication interface associated with the sub-group of users on the user device.

Methods, systems, and media for sending a message about a new video to a group of related users are provided. Various embodiments of the present invention are directed to an improved group-based communication apparatus that is configured to render one or more workflow interface objects to a group-based communication apparatus in association with an operational sequence set returned by a query. The group-based communication apparatus is configured to detect a workflow trigger event associated with a workflow identifier, retrieve an operational sequence set based upon at least the workflow identifier from a group-based communication workflow repository, initiate the operational sequence set, and cause rendering of one or more workflow interface objects to the group-based communication interface. In some embodiments, the operational sequence sets are associated with a group-defined template.
