An electronic information system which enables email based transactions comprises an information database storing information regarding a plurality of individuals in a group and selections available to individuals in the group. A first email message with a mailto hyperlink having a plurality of fields including actionable parameter is generated and sent. A reply email message is received in response to selection of the mailto hyperlink. Example apparatus to process an electronic communication includes a trusted communication identifier including a contact identifier to compare sender information from the electronic communication to contact information from a contact datastore, determine that a communication has not previously been sent from a recipient of the electronic communication to the sender of the electronic communication when the sender information from the electronic communication is not found in the contact datastore, and in response to determining that the communication has not been previously sent, provide an alert message that the sender information from the electronic communication is unknown. The trusted communication identifier further including a user action determiner to store the sender information from the electronic communication in the contact datastore when a response to the electronic communication has been sent.

A communication system including a registry, a traffic service-level classifier, and a network traffic controller receives messages from a communication address, and performs a proactive address verification process to determine a class of service for the network traffic controller to utilize for the communication address, thereby unlocking additional functionality for the communication address on the network.
