The present invention relates to a method for controlling devices within an agricultural network system via a network bus such as a physical network bus or a logical network bus, wherein the devices are controlled by means of control information which is transmitted to the devices by means of messages comprising a content and a header title, the method comprising steps for:—determining a function for performing thereof by a device in the network,—determining the content of a message to be transmitted,—compiling header title information for inclusion thereof in a header title for the message to be transmitted, wherein—the header title information comprises a predetermined number of data fields, such as preferably a network identifier, a device type designation, a function designation, a location designation and/or a group designation, for the purpose of determining on the basis of compliance with one or more of these data fields which device or devices receive(s) the message.

DISTRIBUTED FILE SYSTEM FOR VIRTUALIZED COMPUTING CLUSTERS

A method includes, in a computing system that runs clients on multiple interconnected compute nodes, running on the compute nodes respective virtual switches and respective virtual heads. Each client is provisioned to direct file access commands using one or more access protocols to a respective virtual head running on the compute node on which the client runs, via a respective virtual switch running on the compute node on which the client runs. The file access commands issued by the clients are executed by communicating among the virtual heads using an inter-node communication protocol that is independent of the access protocols used by the clients.

Systems and methods of installing and operating devices without explicit network addresses

A method of discovering addressing information of one or more upstream devices to respond to specific messages by a second device on behalf of the one or more upstream devices in a network includes acquiring the addressing information in an upstream direction from one or more downstream devices to the one or more upstream devices. The method further includes acquiring the addressing information in a downstream direction from the one or more upstream devices to the one or more downstream devices. The method further includes responding to specific messages using the acquired addressing information about the one or more upstream devices.

Scaling of services in a distributed system

Embodiments for scaling services in a distributed network by registering bucket names for the services with a Domain Name Service (DNS) server. Buckets hold resources and distribution of buckets to servers is maintained using a Consistent Hashing Ring. Upon determining that services servers need to be added or deleted based on changes load conditions, leave/join events are managed by a Kubernetes event service and updates are propagated to all of the services by the membership service component. A service scaling process updates the mapping of buckets to the host name of the new service server. A resource request from a client is sent to the mapped bucket name, and a DNS resolver process sends it to the changed service server so that the client is completely unaware of this change in bucket ownership.

COMMUNICATION DEVICE AND COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

In one example, a communication device includes a LINK that generates a first output signal on a basis of a first external signal from a first external device, outputs the first output signal to a second external device, generates a second output signal on a basis of a second external signal from the second external device, and outputs the second output signal to the first external device, in which each of the first output signal and the second external signal includes command information indicating content of a command transmitted from the first external device, final-destination-device-identification-information for identifying a final destination device of data transmitted from the first external device, internal address information indicating an internal address of the final destination device, data length information indicating a length of the data transmitted from the first external device, and data-end-position-information indicating an end position of the data transmitted.

Embodiments generally relate to network device management. The present technology discloses techniques that can enable an automatic generation of a network topology table for network management. It can use customized identifiers for servers in a server network. It can further enable an automated harvest of network information by utilizing service controllers embedded at different levels of a network.

System And Method For Remotely Filtering Network Traffic Of A Customer Premise Device

Systems, methods, and devices for performing targeted filtering of network traffic generated by user equipment (UE) devices connected to a customer premise equipment (CPE) device in a communication system that includes a distributed residential gateway. A network server may determine that the communication system includes a UE device that is compromised, misconfigured, or operating outside normal communication parameters, identify the UE device, determine an Internet protocol (IP) address or a media access control (MAC) address of the identified UE device, generate a quarantine request message that includes the IP address or the MAC address of the identified UE device in response to determining that the preconfigured virtual local area network access control list (VACL) on the CPE lists source IP addresses from which the CPE will filter outbound traffic, and send the generated quarantine request message to a bridged residential gateway (BRG) associated with the CPE device.

Method and system for generating durable host identifiers using network artifacts

A host identification engine receives network traffic from a network and uses one or more artifact extractors to extract artifact data items that can identify a host. The artifact data items can be stored in a host signature database. Network addresses to which the hosts correspond can be stored in a network address database. A mapping table can be implemented to match the data in the signature database and network database to generate durable host identification data that can accurately track hosts as they use different identification data and/or move between hosts.

Communication system

A communication system is disclosed in which a relay communication device identifies a service to be received by at least one other communication device and also identifies the at least one communication device. The relay communication device maintains a mapping between services and the communication device(s) that need to receive that service. The relaying communication device receives service data using a broadcast/multicast bearer and forwards, using a respective device-to-device bearer, the service data to each communication device for which a respective mapping to that particular service is maintained.

A system for remote device management includes in a network an auto-configuration server managing device, at least one database, and a plurality of auto-configuration servers. The auto-configuration server managing device and the database are coupled in a communicative connection. The database holds information for identification of electronic devices. The auto-configuration server managing device is arranged for communication with a manageable electronic device over the network. The auto-configuration server manager is further being arranged for: receiving a request from the manageable electronic device for configuration data, determining an identification of the manageable electronic device by comparing the request with the information for identification of electronic devices of the database, determining an identification of an auto-configuration server from the plurality of auto-configuration servers in accordance with the identification of the manageable electronic device.
