SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR THE HANDLING OF BRIDGED VIRTUAL MACHINES

A system and method for onboarding a virtual machine in a bridge host extension mode are provided. The method includes: creating a virtual machine on a host computing device, wherein the host computing device is associated with a first MAC address and a first IP address; assigning the virtual machine a second MAC address by the host computing device; receiving a first DHCP packet from the virtual machine by the host computing device, wherein the first DHCP packet comprises a first field that includes the second MAC address; replacing the second MAC address in the first field with the first MAC address by the host computing device; adding the second MAC address to a second field of the first DHCP packet by the host computing device; and providing the first DHCP packet to a DHCP server through a network by the host computing device.

Telecommunication network edge cloud interworking via edge exchange point

A processing system of an edge exchange point including at least one processor may receive, from a cloud service provider a request to allocate a first tag to communications between the cloud service provider and a first telecommunication network, transmit an acceptance of the request to allocate the first tag to the communications between the cloud service provider and the first telecommunication network, obtaining a first packet containing the first tag from the cloud service provider, and transmit the first packet to the first telecommunication network in accordance with the first tag.

The technologies described herein are generally directed to communicating with dual-provisioned user equipment in a fifth generation (5G) network or other next generation networks. For example, a method described herein can include receiving a sent electronic message from originating equipment addressed to a first identifier. The method can further include determining that a user equipment of the subscriber is identified via the first identifier and a second identifier. Further, the method can include determining that, based on a condition, the first identifier is unable to route the sent electronic message to the user equipment. Also, embodiments facilitate communicating a response electronic message to the originating equipment corresponding to a notice comprising an indication that the user equipment is also identified via the second identifier.
