20220131923 · 2022-04-28 ·

Systems and methods for tracking and logging mute events that occur during communication sessions are disclosed. The method includes generating a disruption report that includes one or more aspects of a mute event detected during a communication session. The disruption report is communicated to a network for further analysis.

MULTIPLE NAMESPACES SUPPORT IN PRIORITY CALL IN IMS NETWORK
20220131907 · 2022-04-28 · ·

A method of call handling when multiple namespaces are present for a call of a priority or emergency call type initiated by a subscriber of a wireless network includes: obtaining, by an originating Proxy Call Session Control Function (P-CSCF), a predetermined precedence order for the multiple namespaces; retrieving, by the originating P-CSCF, each namespace and associated priority from the subscriber's Registration Context; inserting, by the originating P-CSCF, a SIP Resource-Priority header for each namespace and associated priority; and inserting, by the originating P-CSCF, an additional SIP Resource-Priority header with an additional specified namespace (Multiple Namespace Precedence Order (MNPO)) and priority value identifying the predetermined precedence order for the multiple namespaces. The originating P-CSCF uses the namespace with the highest precedence order to select the appropriate values to fill in Reservation-Priority Attribute-Value Pair (AVP) and Multimedia-priority services (MPS) Identifier AVP in Rx interface signaling to a Policy and Charging Rules Function (PCRF).

Protocol to initiate session with partner site
11316931 · 2022-04-26 · ·

A protocol to initiate a session with a partner site in a digital medium environment is described. Systems that initiate partner-site sessions according to this improved protocol reduce exposure of sensitive information in relation to conventional systems that leverage conventional protocols. According to the improved protocol, a system initiating a partner-site session—to obtain functionality from a respective service provider system—creates a hidden storage area (e.g., an iframe) in a local security context. The system then uses this hidden storage area to store session information—which may include sensitive, personally identifying information—rather than using storage of the respective service provider system. By avoiding communication of sensitive information for storage by the service provider system, the system does not expose the sensitive information. Due to this, the system reduces a number of opportunities for maliciously acquiring that information.

Techniques for managing a 933 test call pertaining to emergency services
11316975 · 2022-04-26 · ·

Techniques for customizing an audio response to emergency test calls are provided. The technique includes receiving a Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) emergency test call from a test call device by an emergency service (ES) provider. Call information specific to the VoIP emergency test call is obtained from an ES provider customer database associated with the ES provider. The obtained call information specific to the VoIP emergency test call is provided to an emergency test call audio generation server. A customized audio response to the VoIP emergency test call is generated and returned to the test call device based on the provided call information specific to the VoIP emergency test call using text-to-speech technology.

APPLICATION WIRE

A method includes, at a node associated with a multiprotocol label switching system (MPLS) network, identifying information associated with an application flow based on one or more unencapsulated packet headers of the application flow or based on an ingress data stream that includes the application flow. The method further includes, in response to identifying the information, and based on stored data that maps application flows with pseudowires, determining a number of pseudowires corresponding to paths through the MPLS network, where the stored data indicates, for a sending device application, a distributed mapping of the application flow via at least one of the number of pseudowires, and communicating data related to the sending device application via at least one of the number of pseudowires.

Data Packet Processing Method, Host, and System

A data packet processing method includes: a cloud management platform sending virtual private cloud (VPC) network information of a computing instance running on a host to a network processing device; a virtual switch receiving a data packet from the computing instance using a virtual port of the computing instance, where the data packet carries a network address of the computing instance and a virtual local area network (VLAN) identifier of the virtual port sending the data packet; the virtual switch sending the data packet according to the VLAN identifier and routing the data packet to the network processing device; the network processing device determining the VPC network information according to the network address; and the network processing device performing network function processing on the data packet. Therefore, a VPC network feature of a computing instance can be adjusted according to a requirement.

Apparatuses and methods involving a monitor device for use with endpoint devices
11716269 · 2023-08-01 · ·

A system includes a plurality of SIP servers that are configured and arranged to provide services for a respective set of endpoints. A monitor server having at least one processor circuit receives connectivity status of the respective set of endpoint devices based on registration status provided by the endpoints to the SIP servers. Based upon the received connectivity status, endpoints having connectivity problems are identified, and potential problem sources for the connectivity problems of the parsed endpoints are identified. A monitor device having at LAN interface circuit connected to the LAN and at least one processor circuit receives the command from the monitor server and performs a diagnostic test on the LAN. Results from the at least one diagnostic test are provided to the monitor server.

Enhanced media plane optimization in web real time communication scenarios

Enhanced media plane optimization in web real time communication scenarios There are provided measures for enhanced media plane optimization in web real time communication scenarios. Such measures exemplarily comprise receiving a first session description message comprising at least one media line indicative of multiple media streams transportable in a same stream control association, and generating, based on said first session description message, a second session description message indicative of a possibility for a separate transport of said multiple media streams and of a possibility for a joint transport of at least some media streams of said multiple media streams in the same stream control association.

Methods and nodes in a lawful interception system

The present disclosure relates to the problem to deliver correlation information, CN, in case of CC delivery in TDM format to a Monitoring Centers, MC in a circuit switched network and achieving a minimal impact to MCs and/or no impact on the operator network at all. Said problem is solved by using the extension field of calling or called party number for providing the correlation number to a MC from a Mediation Function entity.

Processing sensitive information over VoIP

This invention relates to a method of processing sensitive information over VoIP. The method provides a method of processing, by a call processor, a media call comprising the steps of: receiving a first signalling stream from a first entity; creating a second signalling stream to a second entity; forwarding signals received from the first signalling stream to the second signalling stream; receiving a third signalling stream from the second entity; creating a fourth signalling stream to the first entity; and forwarding signals received on the third signalling stream to the fourth signalling stream; the first signalling stream containing instructions to set up a media call between the first entity and the second entity such that media is transmitted over a first media stream from the first entity to the second entity and a media is transmitted over a second media stream from the second entity to the first entity without intervention by said call processor.
