Telecommunication event object classification based on information from multiple protocols
A method performed by a computing system that collects information on transactions in a telecommunication system includes receiving an event object. The event object includes parameters associated with a telecommunication event. The method further includes classifying the event object, using a classification mechanism, as one of a plurality of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) by using the parameters, including considering events from multiple protocols for classifying event objects. The method further includes, after classifying the event object, inferring relationships between a set of inputs and a set of outputs, the set of inputs including information types from the event object and the set of outputs including KPIs.
Session setup control for messaging interoperability
A device includes a processor and a memory. The processor effectuates operations including receiving a service capability for a mobile originating (MO) device. The processor further effectuates operations including receiving a service capability for a mobile terminating (MT) device. The processor further effectuates operations including receiving session initiation protocol (SIP) messages from the MO device at a Breakout Gateway Control Function (BGCF). The processor further effectuates operations including determining whether the received SIP messages are associated with setting up an outgoing open group chat (OGC) or an outgoing Message Session Relay Protocol (MSRP) file transfer. The processor further effectuates operations including blocking the SIP messages in response to the determination that the SIP messages are associated with setting up a MSRP file transfer.
VIDEO MEDIA PLAYING METHOD AND APPARATUS
A video media playing method includes: A media server receives a call request message from originating UE, where the call request message includes first session description protocol (SDP) information of the originating UE; the media server receives a first response message returned by terminating user equipment (UE); the media server determines, based on the first response message, that the terminating UE does not support a resource reservation mechanism/procedure; the media server sends a second response message to the originating UE, where the second response message includes second SDP information used to respond to the first SDP information; and the media server performs video media negotiation with the originating UE through the resource reservation mechanism/procedure.
Dedicated user priority message
When a user equipment (UE) registers with an Internet Protocol Multimedia Subsystem (IMS), a serving call session control function (S-CSCF) of the IMS can obtain user profile information associated with the UE from a Home Subscriber Server (HSS). The user profile information may include a priority indicator, such as an indication that a user associated with the UE is a Wireless Priority Services (WPS) user or other high priority user. In that situation, the S-CSCF can inform a proxy call session control function (P-CSCF) of the IMS that the user is a WPS user or other high priority user by sending a dedicated priority message to the P-CSCF, separately from sending a registration confirmation message to the P-CSCF.
MUSIC PLAYING METHOD AND DEVICE
Disclosed are a music playing method and device. A user device is used to control another user device, to realize a music on hold (playing music in a call-hold duration) function, which reduces interaction with a SIP server, thereby reducing load of the SIP server. Softswitch (i.e., switching SDP) is established between a second user device in need of the music on hold function and a media resource server by a first user device, to realize a P2P media link between the second user device and the media resource server, which saves broadband resources of the SIP server. Also, in a situation where the media resource server needs to be deployed in another network segment (i.e., the media resource server and the second user device are in two network segments), the P2P media link can avoid configuring an access permission to a router, thus being convenient for network environment deployment.
METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR MULTI-ACCESS EDGE COMPUTING (MEC) SELECTION AND LOAD BALANCING
A device, method, and system provide for collecting service parameters associated with application sessions associated with a plurality of MEC clusters; obtaining capability information associated with each of the plurality of MEC clusters; generating service profiles for a set of transport networks based on the service parameters and the capability information, wherein each transport network includes at least one of the plurality of MEC clusters; receiving, from a user equipment (UE) device, a request for a MEC service having a minimum service requirement; and selecting, based on the service profiles, a MEC cluster from the plurality of MEC clusters to provide the MEC service, wherein the selected MEC cluster is included in a first transport network that meets the minimum service requirement.
System and method for providing voice communication sessions between communication devices
A system and method for providing a call session in a communication environment between a caller communication device associated with a caller user and a recipient communication device associated with a recipient user are described. The system includes an automated call controller adapted for being coupled to the caller and recipient communication devices. In operation, a caller user utters a call initiation phrase in a natural language into his communication device. The system analyses the call initiation phrase, finds the recipient device in the communication environment, transmits and plays back the call initiation phrase on the recipient communication device. The system receives and analyzes a recipient reaction to recognize the recipient user intention either to accept or reject the call session, and establishes the call session between the communicating caller and recipient users.
Wireless management and connectivity across multiple networks
A communication management resource receives notification of a registration request associated with user equipment present in a wireless network environment. In response to receiving the registration request, the communication management resource executes a roaming management function on behalf of the user equipment. Via the roaming management function, the communication management resource manages roaming of the user equipment in the wireless network environment. Using an SoR type mechanism as described herein allows a PLMN/SNPN operator to control their subscribers to what roaming SNPN network that they should select/reselect during wireless registration and at any time after registration based on the type of wireless services.
Call flow system and method for use in a legacy telecommunication system
A method of operating a network server, such as a mobile application gateway, connect devices on a cellular or carrier network with individual networks, such as enterprise voice and data networks or residential networks. The effects of the present invention are far reaching in terms of transferring effective call control from the cellular network into the control of the individual network, such as the enterprise, and enabling new business models for the purchase of cellular service from a public cellular carrier by an enterprise.
Resolving media deadlocks using stun
In one embodiment, a device in communication with a service provider network obtains first information regarding a first call leg of a media session associated with a first endpoint. The device also obtains second information regarding a second call leg of the media session associated with a second endpoint. Both of the first and second endpoints are anchored in the service provider network. The device makes a determination that the media session is being hairpinned, based on the first and second information. The device sends, based on the determination, an indication message using Session Traversal Utilities for Network Address Translators (STUN) along the first call leg that causes the first endpoint to begin sending a flow of media packets.
