METHOD FOR SIGNALING PROTOCOL CHARACTERISTICS FOR CLOUD WORKFLOW INPUTS AND OUTPUTS
Systems and methods for managing a Network Based Media Processing (NBMP) workflow are provided. A method includes obtaining, from a descriptor corresponding to a network based media processing (NBMP) workflow, or a task included in the workflow, a syntax element indicating a protocol characteristic of a protocol corresponding to an input or an output of the workflow or the task, deriving the workflow based on the task; and managing at least one media processing entity according to the derived workflow, wherein the protocol characteristic relates to at least one from among a nonessentiality, a timing, an order, a number, a latency, and a size associated with the input or the output.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PROCESSING TELEPHONY SESSIONS
In one embodiment, the method of processing telephony sessions includes: communicating with an application server using an application layer protocol; processing telephony instructions with a call router; and creating call router resources accessible through a call router Application Programming Interface (API). In another embodiment, the system for processing telephony sessions includes: a call router, a URI for an application server, a telephony instruction executed by the call router, and a call router API resource.
SELECTIVE MAPPING OF CODED MULTI-CHANNEL TRANSMISSION
The present invention provides methods, apparatus and systems for improving a systems-level data rate on a communications link such as the orthogonal frequency division multiplexed multiple access (OFDMA) downlink used in WiFi and LTE cellular/wireless mobile data applications. The present invention preferably uses a form of multilevel coding and decoding known as tiled-building-block encoding/decoding. With the present invention, different receivers coupled to different parallel downlink channels with different channel qualities decode different received signal constellations at different levels of resolution. This allows the downlink of the OFDMA system to operate with a significantly higher data rate, thus eliminating existing inefficiencies in the downlink and significantly increasing system level bandwidth efficiency.
EDGE COMPUTING NETWORK, DATA TRANSMISSION METHOD AND APPARATUS, DEVICE AND STORAGE MEDIUM
The present disclosure provides an edge computing network, a data transmission method and apparatus, a device and a storage medium. The edge computing network includes: a first edge node configured to receive streaming media data sent by a first client, store the streaming media data onto a first storage resource, and store information of the first storage resource onto a second storage resource, both the first storage resource and the second storage resource being located in the edge computing network; and a second edge node configured to receive a request sent by a second client, acquire the information of the first storage resource from the second storage resource, acquire the streaming media data from the first storage resource based on the information of the first storage resource, and send the streaming media data to the second client.
Scalable layered two-dimensional (2D) telecommunications network architecture
Aspects of the disclosure are directed to a telecommunications network architecture. In accordance with one aspect, a scalable telecommunications network architecture includes at least one infrastructure switching node; at least one user switching node for receiving a session request, wherein the session request includes at least one user attribute; and at least one controller coupled to the at least one user switching node, the at least one controller for examining the session request a) to allocate at least one bandwidth or at least one data rate for the at least one user switching node based on a resource allocation policy and b) to allocate a quantity of switch elements in the at least one infrastructure switching node based on an interconnection policy. In one example, the at least one controller establishes a communications session for a user terminal based on the session request.
Methods and apparatus for efficient failure recovery and scaling of a communications system
The present invention relates to communications methods and apparatus for distributing Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) messages among SIP processing entities including during periods of failure recovery. An exemplary method embodiment includes the steps of: establishing a first connection oriented protocol connection between a first Session Initiation Protocol Load Balancer (SLB) of a plurality of SLBs and a client device; receiving via the first connection oriented protocol connection at the first SLB a first SIP REGISTER request message from the first client device; determining, by the first SLB, based on information received from the client device, a first Session Border Controller (SBC) from a plurality of SBCs to send the first SIP REGISTER request message, said information uniquely identifying the first SBC from other SBCs in the plurality of SBCs; and sending, by the first SLB, the first SIP REGISTER request message to the first SBC.
DIGITMAP CONFIGURATION METHOD, SIP SERVER, SIP TERMINAL AND DIGITMAP CONFIGURATION SYSTEM
A digitmap configuration method, device and system are described. The method includes: detecting, by a session initiation protocol (SIP) server, a configuration condition; and when the configuration condition is satisfied, issuing, by the SIP server, a latest digitmap using a MESSAGE to an SIP terminal. The method, device and system realize the flexible configuration conducted on a digitmap of an SIP terminal, and solve the problem that the related SIP terminal digitmap configuration manner lacks flexibility.
Unified, browser-based enterprise collaboration platform
A system for enterprise collaboration is associated with an overlay network, such as a content delivery network (CDN). The overlay network comprises machines capable of ingress, forwarding and broadcasting traffic, together with a mapping infrastructure. The system comprises a front-end application, a back-end application, and set of one or more APIs through which the front-end application interacts with the back-end application. The front-end application is a web or mobile application component that provides one or more collaboration functions. The back-end application comprises a signaling component that maintains state information about each participant in a collaboration, a connectivity component that manages connections routed through the overlay network, and a multiplexing component that manages a multi-peer collaboration session to enable an end user peer to access other peers' media streams through the overlay network rather than directly from another peer. Peers preferably communicate with the platform using WebRTC. A collaboration manager component enables users to configure, manage and control their collaboration sessions.
APPARARUS, METHOD, AND COMPUTER PROGRAM
An apparatus comprising: at least one processor; and at least one memory including computer program code; the at least one memory and the computer program code configured to, with the at least one processor, cause the apparatus at least to: determine that an onboarding standalone non private network and/or service provider hosting the apparatus does not own subscription data for a terminal, in response to the terminal performing an initial access to the onboarding standalone non private network and/or service provider; obtain subscription data for the terminal owned by another standalone non private network and/or service provider from a central provisioning server; and provide subscription data to the terminal.
