Apparatus, method and system of quality of experience indication
Some demonstrative embodiments include devices, systems and methods of quality of experience indication. For example, an apparatus may include a radio configured to communicate encoded multimedia data during a session over a wireless communication channel; and a Quality of Experience (QoE) estimator configured to determine at least one QoE indicator corresponding to the session, and to provide the QoE indicator to a session manager of the session, the QoE estimator configured to determine the QoE indicator based at least on a mean opinion score (MOS) corresponding to the encoded multimedia data, and a channel quality parameter corresponding to the wireless communication channel.
Media Access Control Mechanism in a Wireless Device
A wireless device may receive one or more messages comprising configuration parameters for a first logical channel in a plurality of logical channels. The configuration parameters indicate a first mapping restriction of the first logical channel to at least one first radio resource types in a plurality of radio resource types. The wireless device receives an uplink grant indicating radio resources of a radio resource type in the plurality of radio resource types. The wireless device restart a first buffer status report (BSR) retransmission timer in response to the uplink grant meeting first criteria. The first BSR retransmission timer is employed for triggering a BSR indicating an amount of data comprising data of a buffer of the first logical channel. The first criteria comprise the radio resource type being of one of the at least one first radio resource type. The wireless device triggers a BSR transmission in response to the first BSR retransmission timer expiring.
Method and system for establishing a telecommunications link in accordance with allocation information
Disclosed is a method for establishing a telecommunications link (C1, C2, C3) for a user to whom a first communications terminal (D1) is allocated. According to said method, an allocation information is made available to a control program (100, 22) running on a CTI server (20) for establishing the telecommunications link (C1, C2, C3), in which information a first allocation (72, 92) is defined for the first communications terminal (D1) as specified by the user, said first allocation defining an allocation of a second communications terminal (D3, D4) to the first communications terminal (D1). The telecommunications link (C1, C2, C3) is established by the control program (100, 22) in accordance with the first allocation, using the second communications terminal (D3, D4) instead of the first communications terminal (D1). The method is characterized in that in the allocation information a second allocation (70, 90) is defined, by which the first communications terminal (D1) is signaled to the control program (100, 22) as being the only terminal used by the user in the telecommunications link established (C1, C2, C3). The invention further provides a corresponding system.
Apparatus and methods for centralized message exchange in a user premises device
Methods and apparatus for providing a messaging server within a premises device e.g., a home or enterprise gateway device. In one embodiment, a system is described that includes a premises device that acts as a centralized client messaging platform providing messaging services between a content provider and client devices, and also between client devices within a premises network. The premises device enables client-to-client communication that bypasses the long trip and propagation delay over the Internet by connecting the message across the premises network. The premises device enables messages to be communicated between a content provider outside the premises network and the client devices via a single connection to minimize the number of Internet connections that need to be opened, and the number of messages communicated with servers outside of the premises network via both upstream aggregation and downstream dis-aggregation, which collectively save both network bandwidth and device reaction time.
ADVERTISEMENT MESSAGE PROCESSING METHOD AND APPARATUS
Based on a method provided in the embodiments of the present disclosure, a control plane device sends an advertisement message to a forwarding plane device, and the forwarding plane device buffers the advertisement message and sends the buffered advertisement message to a host, thereby avoiding excessive signaling interactions between the control plane device and the forwarding plane device, so as to improve implementation efficiency of the control plane device and the forwarding plane device, and improve performance of the control plane device and the forwarding plane device.
RECEIVING DEVICE, RECEPTION METHOD, TRANSMITTING DEVICE, AND TRANSMISSION METHOD
The present technology relates to a receiving device, a reception method, a transmitting device, and a transmission method capable of performing an effective filtering process. There is provided a receiving device including a filtering processing unit that performs a filtering process of a packet by using filtering information arranged in a header of the packet transmitted in a first layer that is a layer upper than an IP layer in layers of a protocol of the IP transmission system in a broadcasting wave of digital broadcasting using an IP transmission system. The present technology, for example, can be applied to a television set.
System and method for providing enterprise voice call continuity
An improved system and method are disclosed for providing voice call continuity in an enterprise network. For example, an enterprise public branch exchange (PBX) may be configured with a pilot number that is used to provide VCC services when called by a client. Digit collection via DMTF signaling or other means may be used to collect destination information from the client. The enterprise network may use the collected digits to establish a communication session with another device that corresponds to the destination information.
Multiple file delivery over unidirectional transport protocol sessions for a service
Embodiment systems, methods, and devices enable data streams of a broadcast service to be carried in multiple communication sessions in any transport protocol providing file transport information and the transmission of objects, an example of which is File Delivery Over Unidirectional Transport (“FLUTE”). A session description may include a category attribute indicating the type of data carried in such a protocol session. A schedule fragment may include references to a session description for each such protocol session associated with a service. A common listing of configuration parameters may be generated for all such protocol sessions associated with a service. A different listing of configuration parameters may be generated for each such protocol session associated with a service. A flag setting in a diary file may indicate one or more such protocol session associated with a service over which in-band update fragments may be broadcast.
SCALING PERSISTENT CONNECTIONS FOR CLOUD COMPUTING
Examples relate to scaling persistent connections for cloud computing. In some examples, a data packet is used to determine connection information of the first connection. At this stage, server portion of the first connection is closed by using the connection information to send a close command to the cloud server. In response to a keepalive signal from the client computing device, the connection information is used to send a keepalive response to the client computing device to maintain a client portion of the first connection. In response to a service request from the client computing device, a service notification including the service request is sent to the client computing device, where the client computing device initiates a second connection with the cloud server to process the service request.
The premises device enables client-to-client communication that bypasses the long trip and propagation delay over the Internet by connecting the message across the premises network within the home or building.
