A method for application orchestration and management in a hybrid applications environment that comprises both VNF applications and CNF applications can include receiving an application descriptor that describes features of a new application to be deployed. A determination can be made, based at least in part on the application descriptor, whether the new application should be deployed as a VNF application or as a CNF application. The new application can be deployed as a VNF application when the application descriptor indicates that the new application should be deployed as a VNF application and when the available VNF infrastructure is sufficient to deploy the new VNF application. Conversely, the new application can be deployed as a CNF application when the application descriptor indicates that the new application should be deployed as a CNF application and when the available CNF infrastructure is sufficient to deploy the new CNF application.

An upgradable electronic device is disclosed. The present subject matter discloses a system and method for optimizing data communication of Internet of Things (IoT) devices. The system comprises a collection of IoT devices, an IoT server, a management console, third party IoT gateways and user devices. The IoT device is connected to a sensor or an actuator. The IoT device identifies attributes of the sensor or the actuator. Further, the IoT device receives raw data generated by the sensor or the actuator. Subsequently, the IoT device defines data types for the raw data based on the attributes and define bit stream storage for the data types. The IoT device may optimize data-transmission size of the data types and bit stream storage using a communication protocol and transmit the raw data to the IoT server. The IoT server may transcode the raw data into a desired format and relay transcoded data to a management console.

This application discloses a method for upgrading an energy storage system, and an energy management system. The method includes: obtaining a to-be-upgraded file of the energy storage system; controlling the energy storage system to disconnect from high voltage when a current operating status of the energy storage system allows a program upgrade; detecting status of high voltage connection of the energy storage system; receiving a notification sent by a battery management system in the energy storage system indicating completion of disconnecting the energy storage system from the high voltage; and sending the to-be-upgraded file to the battery management system to perform the program upgrade according to the to-be-upgraded file.
