ARCHIVING APPLICATIONS IN INFORMATION MANAGEMENT SYSTEMS
An information management system according to certain aspects can implement application archiving. The system may archive one or more applications on computing devices to make more storage space available on these devices. The system can determine which applications on client computing device to archive based on various factors. Some examples of factors can include frequency of use, application type, amount of application data and/or storage, user and/or device location, etc. The data to be archived can include one or more executable file(s), metadata, actual data, etc. After an application is archived, the system can generate a placeholder for the application; a placeholder can include information for restoring the archived application.
CONFIGURING CONTROL DEVICES OPERABLE FOR A LOAD CONTROL ENVIRONMENT
A control device configuration system may receive, store, process, and/or display control device configuration information. The control device configuration system may filter the control device configuration information based on user selections of configuration options for configuration parameters. The control device configuration system may identify compatible and incompatible configuration options for various configuration parameters. The control device configuration system may allow selections of the incompatible configuration options. The control device configuration system may adjust how it filters the control device configuration information based on the selections of the incompatible configuration options. The control device configuration system may implement a configuration model that includes configuration parameter groups for efficient evaluation of user selections.
Enhanced Curfew and Protection Associated with a Device Group
A method comprising obtaining, from a master user, a device usage allocation applicable to two or more devices, the two or more devices being associated with another user, the another user being different from the master user, obtaining an aggregate measure of device usage associated with the two or more devices, if the aggregate measure of device usage associated with the two or more devices satisfies a condition relative to the device usage allocation, managing an activity of the two or more devices, and sending a notification to at least one of the two or more devices, the notification for presentation to the another user through a user interface of the at least one of the two or more devices.
INTERFACE PROXY DEVICE FOR CYBER SECURITY
A system for providing cyber protection to medical devices in a medical environment is presented. The system comprises a medical device comprising software services, a backend server to maintain and provide software updates to medical devices, and an interface proxy box connected to the medical device and in communication with the backend server. The interface proxy box determines the software services resident on the medical device. The interface proxy box installs the software services determined to be resident on the medical device on the interface proxy box and configures the installed software services to match the software services resident on the medical device. The interface proxy box communicates periodically with the backend server and receives and applies security updates to the software services installed and configured on the interface proxy box. The medical device utilizes the updated software services on the interface proxy box.
Multi-household support
Embodiments are provided for enabling a user to control multiple media playback systems with a single mobile device. The mobile device may connect with a first or second media playback system based on receiving a first or second household identifier (HHID), respectively. If the mobile device receives both the first and second HHIDs, the mobile device may connect with either the first or second media playback system based on a priority of the two systems. If neither the first nor second HHIDs are received by the mobile device, a user may be prompted to add a third media playback system if the mobile device receives a third HHID. The user interface of the mobile device may receive an input to connect the mobile device to the third media playback system, and a connection may be established between the mobile device and the third media playback system.
COMMUNICATION METHOD AND APPARATUS
A communication method and an apparatus are provided. The method includes: A common application programming interface framework core function (CCF) network element first sends reference information of an application to a first network element. Therefore, the first network element determines network slice information corresponding to the application; and then the first network element sends the determined network slice information to the CCF network element. In this way, the CCF network element may determine the network slice information corresponding to the application, so that when an API invoker network element searches for an API, the CCF network element can accurately find, based on an API inquiry parameter, the API from a network slice corresponding to the network slice information.
Enhance communication of network traffic
Techniques are disclosed relating to enhancing communication of network traffic. In various embodiments, a computer system receives topology information and traffic information. The topology information describes resources of a network that are usable to communicate a plurality of streams among nodes in the network and includes information about a first path and a second path connecting two nodes. Traffic information describes demands for communicating the plurality of streams and indicates demands for communicating a first stream and a second stream between the two nodes. In such an embodiment, the computer system determines, using the topology information and the traffic information, a network schedule that indicates that the first stream is to be communicated over the first path and that the second stream is to be communicated over the second path.
Binary experimentation on running web servers
Systems and methods to enable on-the-fly modification of running processes on a webserver more quickly and efficiently are discussed herein. A code vault is used to store binaries for use in production code running on a server, which are downloaded and implemented in the running process when authorized by developers. The process retrieves the binaries from the code vault to deploy the modifications to a specified audience without having to re-instantiate or run a parallel process with the new binaries. Binaries for different audiences or subsequent experiments may be downloaded onto the same machine, but remain isolated. Control of the deployments may require multi-factor or multi-user authentication and are logged for change control.
Browser navigation for facilitating data access
An apparatus for decoding and rendering or otherwise processing, manipulating, or outputting a variety of digital data is provided. The apparatus may include a browser engine configured to receive first encoded digital data. The apparatus may include a browser extension configured to intercept the first encoded digital data transmitted in response to a first request from the browser engine. The browser extension may be configured to intercept a first decoder written in a platform-independent syntax for decoding at least a portion of the first encoded digital data. The browser extension may be configured to point the browser engine to one or more local storage locations of the first encoded digital data and the first decoder.
Broker-based bus protocol and multi-client architecture
A system and method for an eSync bus protocol is provided. The eSync bus protocol uses a broker to route communications between electronic devices within an electronic environment, such as within a vehicle or the like. The electronic devices may first register with the broker, and thereafter send messages to the broker for routing to other registered electronic devices. In this way, the broker may as an intermediary to route communications using the eSync bus protocol. A multi-client architecture is also provided in which multiple domains may be defined by the functions performed by electronic devices within a respective domain.
